My heart jump slightly when a single tear roll down his cheek.

"Riley?" I called out worriedly.

Is he having a bad dream? I shook him and his eyes open.

He slowly took my hand from his cheek and kiss it softly.

"I miss you so bad, I almost died."

Casey POV

"You got that?" I narrowed my eyebrows at him. His face is sad and pleading but I pushed my heart's softness away. I've got my pride, and that's all that I have now. Once I let my guard down again, he'll broke my barrier and I'll be all over his feet again. 

"I just don't wanna be hurt Riley. Can we just stay friends for a while. We'll see if something will work out, but I'm just not ready for anything....yet." I added. His eyes were pained and it hurt to see me like that. But Jake was right, I've got to resist Riley and trim his big ego. If he'll say sorry and I'll came back running to him, eventually, all the things that happen before will most likely occur again.

"Trust me, I don't ask anything at all. I just need to be as close to you as possible. You know that you being weak these past weeks is because you keep on avoiding me. You don't have to do that, I'll be just behind you and I will do and say nothing. I promise." He said, raising his right hand. I groaned irritably.

He's been following me since morning. From my house, then to school, and even fetch me to my classroom like I'm a nursery kid.

"Please? Just so you know that I can even ditch my classes if you won't let me." He begged for uhmptieth time, again and again. 

"Gosh! You're so unbeliveable! Blackmailing me! Really?" I growled on how childish he can be. And it irritate me the most coz it seems like he knows I still care for him too much. And ditching his classes? For me would be way too much!

"So?" He grinned at me with that glint of amusement in his eyes. 

"I guess I have no choice?" I rolled my eyes at him and continue walking to the cafeteria. Riley was walking way too fast and his body is almost touching me, and it's was hell distracting! Gosh! I hate it that he can make me feel so hot in this time of the day! Blame him and his godly features.

"So I see that you can't shake of the kitty pawing on you." Jake joked from queue of bee line. Jess chuckled behind him and I have no intentions of arguing back so I just rolled my eyes while Riley walk past me and handshake with Jake. I can't help but to notice a blackgirl, curling the end of her waves with her finger and smiling seductively with Riley as he pass by. I looked at Riley and when he glanced at the girl, he smiled at her sweetly and that made my stomach turn into a knot. 

Stupid playboy Riley!

How come he's all tailing me while he'll get to flirt with the girls.

A finger brushed my wrinkled forehead and I saw Riley in front of me.

"What's with the scowling face baby?" He said concernly.

"Baby your ass. Get moving!" I scowled at him, bumping him out of my way and taking one of the drinks and a sandwich that I didn't even care to look at. I look at the black girl walking out, swaying her hips like a sex crazed kitten and I sure hell want to smack that grin she gave me before she disappeared.

"Baby." Riley murmured behind me, his minty but hot breath caressing my  neck.

"What!?" I asked irritably as I walk to our usual lunch table.
