you and colby were downstairs watching a movie on the couch.
outside raindrops hit the roofs and windows, and thunder crackled.
while you were getting up to get a drink of water when the power cut out.
and you were left in the dark.
"colby? where are you?", you said frantically feeling infront of you, trying not to freak out.
"im in the living room let me come to you.", you heard someone get off the couch and slow footsteps to you.
you felt a pair of hands touch you then pull you in for a tight hug, he knew you got scared from these things.
then lighting cane down snd made the loudest boom ever imaginable.
you jumped again in his arms, but he only held you tighter.
he bent down slightly and kissed your forehead.
"your safe with me. i wont let anything hurt you."
you calmed down and slowly became less anxious, hearing the rain slowly patter on the window.
"lets find some light." colby let go of the hug and immediately intertwined his hand with yours.
he came across a flashlight in a cabnet and turned it on.
you looked back at colby who looked all sleepy, his hair a mess, and his voice very raspy, in just
some grey sweatpants.
"you want to go back to the couch?", you nodded and smiled, walking over to the couch being able to see now.
he threw himself on the couch laying down vertically, stretching his arms out to you.
you giggled and layed on his chest, as he grabbed the blanket behind you and draped it over you two.
soon, both falling asleep, happy in each others presence, hearing the rain patter patter patter.
