Imagine that Shane is checking you out numerous times, after being ignored when you tell Shane to stop, an angry and overprotective Daryl steps in.

You were walking back to the farm after Daryl took you hunting for what would be your new mid afternoon to early evening routine, you had lost Sophia's tracks and you needed to provide more for the farm - their chickens disappeared over night and more of the cattle had been devoured.

The sun started to go down, making the sky show off it's beautiful range of orange, red and pink, and you could hear the crickets in the distance settling the evening to carry you and your new family through to the next day.

"I'm gonna go n get Rick to look at this deer, keep hold of the Squirrels, I'll get them from y' after." Daryl told you, walking inside the house.

Hershel's farm made you feel much better than the quarry, you didn't feel on edge all the time, you had more space and an actual home to rest in when you weren't sleeping in your tent, it made you feel happy that you didn't stay behind at the CDC when you had the chance.

You often though wether leaving the CDC was a mistake or a miracle, but Daryl gave you hope that there would be better days.

"Yes sir." You replied giggling, taking a seat on the front porch you decided to enjoy the sunset before getting back to evening work; skinning the animals you brought back home.

Standing up you felt like taking a walk around Hershel's ranch, the winter months would be here soon and you wanted to make the most of the warm weather before being freezing cold and not wanting to go outside in the continuous rain, dangerous frost and possible snow.

Looking at the squirrels you and Daryl hunted down you stroked their fur and smiled at how beautiful they were, you felt bad for eating them - but at least they're dead when you decide to eat.

You could feel eyes burning into your behind, you brushed your hand over the knife Daryl had given you incase of a lone walker.

You heard the crunching of leaves behind you, "You've got a fine ass, you know that?" turning around you saw Shane walking up behind you from around the side of the house.

You rolled your eyes continued to take your evening stroll.

"You know, I can't get my head around why a girl like you would go for a man like Dixon." He laughed, rubbing his clean shaven head.

You faced Shane and pulled an annoyed face at him, not being able to believe what he had just said. "Can you just let me enjoy the view instead of disturbing my peace?" You asked Shane, wanting him to leave you alone.

You turned back around and huffed, still feeling the same set of eyes burning into me again.

You were confused as to what game he was playing, you knew deep down he's fighting for Lori but you also caught wind of him having a thing with Andrea.

Shane walked closer to you, his tone became low and gruff "Come on now y/n, you can't really be wanting to be with that stupid and reckless redneck, look at you." He placed a hand on your hip and tightened his grip.

You gulped and clutched the knife in your pocket, pleading desperately that something or someone out there would give you a chance to keep it from going into his skull.

"You need to let go off me, turn around, leave me alone and walk away." You ordered him, your breath becoming shaky.

Shane's grip on you only tightened and his head now rested on top of yours; you were so tiny next to him, you felt like a rabbit being trapped by a wolf.

Before you could scream out for help you were cut off by the rednecks voice.

"She told y' to stop and leave her alone, get the hell of her!" Daryl yelled at Shane, pulling him off you.

Shane put his hands up in defence as Daryl pointed his crossbow at him, staring him dead on in the eyes.

"Y' lucky I stopped you before putting an arrow in your head." Daryl spat, pinning him against the side of Hershel's house.

Rick and Glenn came running out of the house, Daryl's yelling must of caused a panic.

You quickly scrambled and to Daryl's side, you pulled on his arm "He's not even worth it Daryl." You convinced him, "he'll get whats coming to him."

You glared at Shane, you felt completely violated and scared of another human for the first time since the world turned.

Rick walked in between Shane and Daryl, causing your lover to lower his crossbow. "What's going on?" He asked, looking at the both of them.

Daryl paced back and forth "Baldy thinks it's okay to harass women and push their boundaries after they've said stop." He spat, snatching the squirrels off me and throwing them at Shane.

"Comon'" Daryl grabbed your arm, taking you away from the dispute between the sheriff and the deputy and and into the house. "We've got that much deer we don't need the squirrels anyways."

"Daryl, wait." You pulled him aside before walking into the kitchen, you placed your hand against his cheek and kissed him softly. "Thank you."

Daryl shook his head "Nah, don't thank me. No man should ever lay his hands on a woman like that, you said no." He paused for a moment before kissing you passionately. "Let's call it a night.
