Daryl Dixon imagine

Imagine that Rick and the group have all been reunited at Terminus and have made their way to Alexandria, Daryl has everyone but you. He misses you is worried sick, but once they all reach Alexandria they find out you've been there the whole time, and once you come off a run you're finally with them again.

Theme: sad/fluffy

Daryl was worried sick about you, he had no idea where you were if you were safe if you were even alive.

He needed you, and you weren't there.

You were out of a run with Aiden and Spencer, Deanna's sons. You've been at Alexandria for months, you had no idea how many but Deanna had already given you a job.

To think in this world you had a job to juggle and a boss on your ass. You were the laundry lady of the thriving community, then the maid -  cleaning people's houses, making them feel at home, even a babysitter; but you needed to be out there, outside the walls again, it wasn't the same as being inside the walls.

You missed Daryl, you needed him, one moment you were welcomed to Terminus, then you were forced into a huge container, waiting to be slaughtered until an explosion rattled through the ground and shots rang out and the next moment... well... walkers were everywhere and you were all alone, everyone you met in Atlanta, Hershel's farm and the prison were gone.

You were terrified if Daryl had gotten hurt if he somehow along the way found someone else.

You craved him, every moment of every waking hour you thought about him.

When Deanna interviewed you, she asked about who you were with, and of course, you mentioned Daryl, you talked about how amazing Rick and the group was; hoping she'd get Aaron to track them down, she nodded but never mentioned anything since.

You learnt not to get you hopes up incase Aaron couldn't find them or if he found what was left of them.

Little did you know Deanna and Aaron had a little gift for you up their sleeves, Aaron found the group and mentioned you - it didn't do him any favours at first because Daryl went stir crazy and they all assumed you had been killed and Aaron was using you for bait, but sure enough, Aaron provided them with a polaroid picture of you in Alexandria and one by one they made their way to the safe zone; their new home.

Still, on a run with the Monroe brothers, Deanna carried out the interviews, her last being with an anxious and impatient Daryl.

"Where is she?!" Daryl yelled, losing his temper. "Am gettin' sick of waitin'!"

"Daryl, she'll be back soon." Deanna smiled, "she's out at the moment with my sons."

"Where?!" Daryl tried to take off but Deanna wasn't having it.

"If you take off now I won't let you see her again." She yelled back at him. "You're not leaving these walls, y/n will be back soon, that I can promise you."

Daryl walked into every house checking for you, Rick had to go after him to stop the community from feeling alarmed which of course caused Daryl to throw punches.

"And..we're done for today." Aiden smiled, wiping some blood off your forehead.

"Yeah." you sighed, looking up and smiling at him. "finally." You climbed into the van with Spencer and Aiden making your way back to Alexandria.

Walking through the gates of Alexandria with the two golden and impressionable Monroe sons behind you, the community stared at you all in awe, the three of you looking like you had finally returned from war - especially you. You could hear the whispers and noticed the wide smiles before that familiar voice reached out as clear as a silver bell, the still dirty and now crying redneck raced towards you, Rick and the rest of your family stopping in their tracks, not being able to believe their eyes.

Daryl lifted you up into his arms, his face nuzzling into your neck, his hot tears falling onto you. Your heart thumped like the fists of a hungry toddler on a table, all of your worries were gone, your needing could finally stop. The love of your life is alive, the love of your life finally found you. You felt like the whole world decided to pause around you.

"You made it." You cried, "I thought I lost you."

Daryl shook his head, "If you didn't come back tonight I..." his croaky voice trailed off and you shushed him, Carl and Maggie ran towards you embracing you into a warm and welcoming hug. Despite being surrounded by those you missed most, you noticed those who didn't make it.
