Logan went to a pretty prestigious school he didn't exactly hate it but it wasn't the best thing in the world. But he did meet the best person in his life, his boyfriend who he now been together with for 2 years, 11 months, 4 days, 30 minutes and 20 seconds. They managed to score a dorm together and honestly Logan couldn't be happier, but something that was now infuriating him was the score board for their grades in school. He was in second place, he was always in first until two months ago, two months ago a kid named Virgil got into first place and now it seems as if he's just sticking there. It irritated him, how can someone just simply raise to the top and remain up, well he did it but that was different, he had an IQ of 176 and an eidetic memory. But in some magical world, this simpleton named Virgil just rose above him and wasn't budging.
"Hi baby!"
Logan jumped slightly to hear his boyfriend voice break through his room but greatly relieved.
"Hi my love" Logan spun his chair around to be met with his boyfriend making grabby motions at him, cueing him to come to their bed.
"I sense you were angry thinking before i came in here starlight"
Logan pushed back the smaller boy hair kissing his forehead before pressing a kiss to his lips.
"I'm just a little troubled by the academic ratings these last two quarters—"
That sentence seemed to have cause the boy to jump up with a huge smile on his face.
"Oh that reminded me!! Ever since your tutoring I've been way high up in the ratings!"
"Oh really?" Logan wasn't too surprised by what his boyfriend said because he was surely smart, sometimes he could've sworn he was smarter than he was, he just well... lacked the motivation, putting it simply.
"Fuck yeah! But now it's starting to feel like some weird competition with the dude behind me, we always score super close on stuff and I can't even put a face to his name"
"I'm having a similar predicament too, except i'm trying to get in front of someone, and I can't put a face to the name"
Virgil laughed as he threw himself back on Logan's bed.
"We're really that anti social huh? We don't even know our own classmates name"
Logan chuckled and then now that he thought of it he forgot his own boyfriends name, he used stardust to refer to him and never stop.
"You went silent, whatcha thinking about?"
Logan looked away feeling his face burning with embarrassment before turning back to his boyfriend who began to look concern.
"Don't get upset with me-"
Virgil sat up beginning to worry.
"But It seems that i have forgotten you name."
Logan looked at Virgil who had his eyebrows furrowed together before beginning to laugh.
"I think I did too?" Virgil said between laughter.
Logan began to laugh himself.
"Hi I'm Virgil, your boyfriend of 2 years"
Logan froze feeling even more embarrassed. He was competing with his boyfriend who he tutors to get above him.
"Well can i be reminded of your name, your silence is making me nervous" Virgil stated intertwining his hand with Logan's.
Logan cleared his throat wanting to reassure his boyfriend.
"My name is Logan, your boyfriend of 2 years, 11 months, 4 days, 43 minutes and 18 seconds."
Virgil began to double over with laughter.
"So that's why you froze"
"I guess my tutoring pays off".
