Aaliyah POV
"Shooting at local gentle men's club leaves one man dead that story when we return."
"I can hardly stand to watch the news nowadays. Seem like everyday someone's getting shot." Blacks mom says
"Yeah I agree it's really sad. I hope Black makes it home soon though I'm starting to get worried."
As if on cue Black walked in. He immediately headed upstairs like he didn't see me or his mom siting there looking at him. I looked at his mom with a clueless expression.
"Just give him some time he'll be back to normal soon enough but in the mean time tell me about how y'all meet."
"Well really he knew about me long before I knew about him. He was supposed to be helping me get in contact with a friend that I thought had passed away but really hadn't but it seems like we haven't really gotten anywhere."
"Oh wow I didn't know that I wish y'all the best but remember if this so call "friend" left then maybe they're not meant to be found but good night I'm heading to bed now."
"Alright I guess I'll head up there too. Good night."
All night I couldn't stop thinking about what Blacks mom said. Should I even be wasting my time trying to find him. Hmm so many decisions.
Black POV
"Wake up Byron" I heard my mom say. "Breakfast is on the table."
"Ok" I muffled out. I didn't feel like I got much sleep. I kept waking up in the middle of the night seeing Malik's face in my head.
