part 2: the pink delinquent

upon climbing the hill, you see the Steven boy and his group of crystal gems. what's the hold up?? your eyes then trail up to the massive syringe like object, large metal spider like legs clinging to the hill firmly. it appeared to be injecting it's pink contents into the grassy ground with slow and steady contractions. you leaned back in terror as you came into conclusion of what it was.

a giant tick!?

as far as you knew ticks were bad news. they carried many health risks and were irritating as heck. you also knew full well that any animal can get ticks, but now the earth is capable of getting one!? you ran over to the group, being sure not to get too close to them, but close enough to see how the hound this was possible. that was when you saw someone at the rim of the thing. you couldn't see much from her height, but you could make out some pink being with big spikey pigtails. even from afar they had a pointy look to her; pointy boots, pointy looking shoulder sleeves... all this complete with a heart... that was upside-down on her dark purple/magenta chest. you tipped your head to the side in absolute bewilderment. what the... "it can't be..." you hear the gem with the pointed nose, or pearl, mutter as if she were in disbelief. you perked your ears forward, hoping for some insight on what the devil dog was going on.

you picked up the sound of the pink thing's angry sounding laugh from atop the massive tick, before they replied; "oh, but it can be! and it is!" but who? you narrowed your eyes, just wondering what their... well her purpose here is. "I got a new style!" she swept a hand over her pigtails, "and a few new toys" she smacked her hand against the massive tick's body. "get rid of your happily ever after.. ONCE AND FOR ALL!" your eyes widened with terror at her words. again with this!? first massive arms, now a giant tick?! you felt the fur raise along your spine as you began growling. why won't anyone leave earth alone?

"whoa whoa this has got to be a misunderstanding!" sweet Steven tried to reason with the delusional pink girl. "incase you haven't heard, I've established peace all across the-" he was cut off by pink pigtail's angry sneering voice. "yeah, yeah yeah, I've heard. I've gotten your little message to the universe... on LOOP!!" to your shock, her leg extended all the way down from the top of the massive tick, and kicked Steven square in the face! "I just loooove that part! where pink diamond spends the rest of her days on this.. NOWHERE PLANET! with a bunch.. of... NOBODIES!" with that scornful remark, she jumps down from the massive metal parasite, bouncing toward the group with unsettling elasticity, like rubber!

from there, she started to sing a rather catchy tune about meeting his other friends. as she did, you saw on how she was easily... defeating Steven's team of heros... EFFORTLESSLY! though, you saw that she really wasn't fighting them... sure, she was hurting them... but... it was like she was playing with them. flailing and tossing their bodies around like toys... she appeared to have been enjoying herself aswell... after she's had her fun, she swung herself onto another building, as if she were taking a breather.

you took this moment to slowly trot up to the dazed group, unseen, quite shaken from the thrashing you saw them take. the taller woman with a cubical shaped head of hair.. or garnet, was almost annoyed at how that pink delinquent easily mopped the floor with them. of course the short purple girl, amethyst wasn't expecting this type of opponent, and as far as you knew, she hasn't fought for sometime. pearl, appeared to have a history with her, as you heard her utter; "it really is her... but she can't be serious." you padded forward a bit more, as Steven sat up straighter in interest. "you know her, pearl? can you tell us who she is?"

everything went still for a moment, and you look up at the pink being, faintly making out her.. trembling in absolute anger. before she bursted tunefully, "who am I? WHO AM I!? WHAT are you even saying!? I'm the loser of the game you didn't know you were playing!" she suddenly pulls out some type of object from her gem. "let's play another game, this time I get to win!" once it was in her grip, it formed into a... pink, sparking scythe! "LIFE ON THE LINE, WINNER TAKES ALL, LET'S BEGIN!" right then, she started right back up into her aggressive singing. this time she was how it she was eager to... BEAT Steven's other friends now, as she swings the dastardly thing around with amazing grace and precision!

spinning and slashing about, she finally comes to a close as she slinks around the base of her massive metal parasite, and all at once, sling shots herself toward the group and SLICED them in half like butter! after that, they poofed into a puff of smoke, turning into gemstones of their respective names, with the exception of a ruby and Sapphire. this was enough to infuriate Steven as he summoned his pink shield. "that's enough!" he exclaimed, amusing the psychotic pink thing, as she carried on with her jeers. "aw, what's the matter steven? miss your friends already? well don't worry..." she suddenly jumps into action, swinging the cursed object with amazing speed. "YOU'RE RIGHT BEHIND THEM!!" with that she slashes at him, breaking through his shield! at first, this doesn't affect him, but that only prompts the pink being into swinging and slashing at the boy MERCILESSLY, laughing maniacally as she did. finally, he catches one of her moves, but now they fought for control. you couldn't take much more. this must be stopped!

STOP IT! CEASE THIS INSTANT! THIS ISN'T NECESSARY! PLEASE STOP! "ARF ARF ARF! BARK! BARK! ARF RARF ARF ARF ARF ARF!!" you begin jumping and barking, running around the duo like a rabid dog, pleading with the pink thing, hoping she'd find some source of reasoning in her head. this caught their attention for a split moment, Steven being utterly confused, pinky being utterly annoyed, confused and ever so slightly interested. "and what is this?" you heard her snarl over your excessive barking. "your OTHER other friend?" steven suddenly had the look of concerned confusion. "I-I don't even.. I've never seen-" he stammered for an explanation, as you ran to her heels, barking "fiercely" at her. you saw her talking to him, taunting him about doing.. something to his gem..? That was when she finally paused with a very angry pout. It's working! You turn up your barking and you start jumping at her ankles, head butting her thighs as well. she sneered down at you now. "okay, you know what." you hear her murmer, before diverting her attention from steven and using an arm to swat at you.

"GO! GET! BEAT IT, PIPSQUEAK! GET LOST!" you avoided her arm with ease, still barking a bunch of pleads of mercy, before she manages to grab you by the scruff, eliciting a yelp of surprise from you as she yanks you up to her face. "are you yet ANOTHER one of Steven's pathetic little friends?" you crinkle your muzzle slightly in defense, but up close you saw that she had... black tear streaks on her face..?  Your eyes widened slightly and a surge of sympathy ran through you. What's that about..? you look into her magenta eyes, and saw her pupils were small with mostly insanity.. but another emotion you couldn't clearly identify. but you didn't have time to identify it, because they quickly dilated at getting a good look your endearing (color) gaze. "mm, what a sweet little face you actually have..." she squinted slightly. "Er... whatever you are." You tip your head to the side. Has she never seen a puppy before? suddenly, Steven yanks the scythe from her grip as she was almost mesmerized by your features. "It really is a shame you're part of this pathetic planet now that I think on it..." a sad yet psychotic grin stretches her mouth. "you're gonna have to disappear with all the other nobodies here!" she started to laugh maniacally again, before a flash entered your vision and your eyes widen as you saw the side of her face slide down and before you knew it. She poofed into a cloud of smoke.

you fell to the ground and at the same time, the heart shaped gem stone fell in front of you. you sniffed at it curiously. what on earth happened?? you look up at steven, and he was kneeling beside the gem, sighing in exhaustion and somewhat solemnity. he rests his gaze on you, a tired yet grateful grin on his face. "Um... thanks back there..." he pats your head softly before returning his attention to the discarded gemstone. "let's bubble this before she-" he then attempts to do his bubble thing where he puts the gem in... well bubble and saves it somewhere. but... the moment it happened, the bubble popped. confused, he tried over and over again, straining as he did before he realized... she had done something to his gem. lifting his shirt, you saw that diamond navel, glowing dully against his skin.. uh oh. "whiine..." you sniffed at it curiously and looked up worriedly at steven. "what's going on..?" he whispers out loud. he sighs in a near defeat before looking at you again. "you... should get back you your owner before it gets too late." he murmers, petting you for a brief moment before standing up to gather the rest of his gems.

you stood there, staring up at the boy sadly. About that... he gathered up the other gems, and looked don't at you, a touch confused at why you were still there. "well..? go on." he made soft gestures with his hand for you to get. you whined in response. that was when he had a flash in his eyes, as if he realized something. He took a moment to kneel down to your height. "do you... not have an owner?" His question soft, like he wasn't trying to offend you. your slightly worn ears sagged and your tail drooped as you let out a long whimper of confirmation. not anymore... he frowned in sympathy before glancing to the side in thought. "well... I guess it couldn't hurt..." he offered a warm smile and held his hand out to you.

"come on. follow me."
