Amber
The next morning I lay as memories from the night before come flooding back. Harry carrying me over the bridge. Finding out he got my phone and read things he shouldn't have. Me singing to break up a fight then being made to sing another song. Harry helping me down from the table. Then a big feeling of dizziness, And everything going black.
Then I come to a heartbreaking realization. The ending of the night that's still strong in my head, was just a dream. It didn't actually happen. I look over to the boy asleep across the room. He didn't actually kiss me. It was just a drunk enhanced dream of my desires.
I groan as I get out of bed and burry my face in my hands. Tears threatening to burst out. All my life I've spent burying that side of me. Making sure to never even have a crush on someone. But a damn spell to leave where I was put me in a world where all my walls are being broke down.
For what? A Scottish pirate with crystal blue eyes and more talent then a professional snake charmer. A boy who doesn't even exist in my world. A boy I shouldn't have even met. Something that only happened because I can use magic.
My mind and feelings completely in shambles, I stand up and quickly get changed. I walk out the room. I know I'm not supposed to go anywhere without him, but I can't face him right now.
Uma sees me as I walk through the ship, "where's Harry?"
I grimace, " he's still asleep. I know he's supposed to be everywhere I am but I wanted to see if I can please just get some alone time. Or just have someone else follow me at a distance."
She study's me, understanding showing on her face, "You look like something's bothering you. I won't press about it. But just know we're all here for you. As for your request go on ahead, you've proved twice you don't want anything happening to my crew. Helping my boys steal so they don't get in trouble and breaking up a riot."
I smile sadly at her and nod," thank you Uma. Wait how'd you know I stole instead of them?"
She chuckles, "they don't have the skills to pull that off so I asked Harry if he knew anything. He told the truth."
I nod again before turning around and walking off. When I get off the ship I head into town. Not bothering to even take my sword. In all honesty if someone's stupid enough to mess with me today I'll just use my magic. Screw caution.~~~~~~~~
A day of walking around and meeting different people, including a girl who enjoys doing hair, She did touch ups on my silver hair, and now a girl who does fortune telling.
She tickles me, how accurate she is.
"You're far from home," the girl says looking at her cards, "but you've never felt more at home and alive as you do here."
I nod, waiting for her to continue.
"You have something inside eating at you," she continues narrowing her eyes, "you feel as if you aren't good enough to have the things you want the most."
Even if I had never actually admitted it to myself, she's right.
"You've always been looked down on, treated as if you were trash. You don't know how to respond to positive feelings and acts." She pauses and looks at me eyes wide," something is coming. Something to do with who you really are. You will be faced by your destiny. But it's still up to you whether or not you choose to walk that path or the one you're on."
That part I didn't see coming and I wonder if she's telling the truth or just showing off.
I thank her for her time and leave a necklace, I stole while walking about, as payment. Her eyes sparkle as she picks it up and smiles at it.
I leave the store and walk off. After a couple of minutes I see Harry looking at some stuff on a table. Not looking like himself at all. Instead of his normal prideful cocky stature, he's slumped. Instead of being alert, he's lost in thought.
Which clearly shows as I see a man slinking up towards him with a dagger drawn out. Without thinking I'm running forward, closing the distance between me and Harry as quick as I can. Hoping I make it in time.
I knock Harry down out of the way as the man raises his blade and brings it down, Slashing down my arm instead of into Harry's back. Harry rolls over to look at us as I turn my eyes to the man in the cloak.
I tilt my head to the side, the fury in my eyes clearly unnerving the man in front of me, and wave my hand over the wound he left. It closing up, only the blood showing it had once been there.
A wicked grin flashes upon my lips, "my turn."
He straightens his self up, "you don't even have a weapon."
My grin widens and I raise my hand up curling my fingers as I do. Wind gusts pick up, so strong my hair whips around me. Knowing my eyes are flashing a goldish-red as they do when I'm this angry using my magic.
"I don't need one," I hum out with malice.
"Ambrea," he whispers out in disbelief.
"Close but that's not my name," I laugh out to angry to think about what he said.
I wave my hand in front of him, a gash appearing across his chest. He takes a step back with a yelp of pain. His face showing his fear.
"That's for cutting me," I hiss," and this? This is for trying to kill Harry."
I close up the distance between us and run my finger down his cheek, watching as the light leaves his eyes, and he collapses to the ground in a lifeless heap.
I glare down at his corpse then looking around to see the street clear except for Harry. The others must of fled the wind, afraid of a storm coming.
Harry stares at me eyes wide, mouth partially open.
I flinch away from his stare as I hold out my hand, helping him up, "I wish I wouldn't have shown you what I can do yet, but I guess it couldn't be helped."
I turn away from him, "I don't know why that happened but you need to get back to the ship before something else happens and I'm not there. This time keep alert."
I start to walk off but he catches my arm, "are ye avoidin' me because I read that stuff?"
"I am still upset about that," I say back shaking off his hand and turning my head to look in his eyes, then to the ground, "but that's not why I'm wandering on my own for now. Don't follow me."
With that I walk away quickly and disappear down an alley.
