Ch. 10 "bang bang"

I glare at him in disbelief, not only did he take my phone but he read things he should have never seen. He's a pirate, why is this even a shock? I pull my phone out of my bag and go to turn it on, but he takes it from me.

"What do ye think yer doing lass?" He asks me amused.

"Doing what I should've when I realized where I was," I reply," delete them."

He grins and sticks it in his pocket," nah."

I roll my eyes and storm off through the crowd. I get to the table with rum and other alcohol sitting on it and snatch a bottle and begin drinking.

He leans against the table and I groan.

"What are ye doing now?"

"Drinking so I don't die of horror or strangle you. Either sounds pretty nice right about now. Just leave me alone right now, you damn pirate."

I feel the tears starting at the corner of my eyes so I walk away taking the bottle with me.

Sitting under a tree not far at all from the crowd, I sip on the rum.

A guy walks up to and I growl, "I swear if you're here to also ask me to dance, I'm going to break a branch off this tree and stab you in the eyes."

He hurried off and I take a swig," that's what I thought."

"Rough night already?" Uma asks.

I look over at her and see she's leaning against the side of the tree looking down at me.

I shrug, " you can say that."

"What happened?" She asks," both you and Harry are acting like aggressive mopey kids."

"It's his own damn fault," I say through gritted teeth, " he went through my phone and read somethings he shouldn't have. Things that are very embarrassing and more then likely have him thinking bad about me."

She chuckles," I doubt that last part. Part of the reason I had him look after is the way he watched you and talked about you. He's normally a flirt to every girl he sees, but normally it's empty or not serious. He had genuine interest in you. That's not normal. It seemed to be promising for him so I wanted to see what it led to. He even let you take his hook! I think he actually has a thing for you."

"I doubt that," I say downing the rest of the bottle. Feeling it start to get to me.

She just shrugs," it's not my life."

With that she walks off and I stand up when I see a fight break out.

I walk over to someone," what's going on?"

She turns to me," drinking, lack of proper entertainment and men. This is normal."

I hurry off as the fight gets bigger to find Harry. Who's standing off to the side at a table watching them, shaking his head.

"Give me phone!" I shout as I get to him.

He looks at me unsure.

"Dammit Harry I won't delete them!" I growl and hold out my hand.

He pulls out my phone and hands it to me. I pull my speaker out of my bag and plug my phone up to it and turn them both on. I look through my music and find a instrumental version and pray that this will work like I saw in coyote ugly.

I look at Harry," when I tell you to press play!"

I climb onto the table and nod at him. The music starts and I start singing.

After the beginning part everyone's eyes are on me. No fighting to be seen. I continue anyway.
