If I lived 2,000 years ago, I would probably want a horse. A chicken is okay, you can eat it of course. Cows are good for milk, yes, and eventually, meat. But if you had a horse, you could travel much faster and do a lot more things. There was a lot of battling in the world back then, and with a horse it would have been easier to ride into battle. Either way, whether I wanted to or not, I'd definitely need a horse. If you must, you can eat it (I'd advise against it of course), but you were doing a lot of walking back then. You could save time and effort if you had a horse. I can't remember, but I'm pretty sure they didn't have horses 2,000 years ago, and it would have been a lot less trouble if they did. The "riding-into-battle-on-a-horse" thing would have happened a lot sooner. I'm not quite sure it was the safest or most efficient way to do things, and a lot of horses probably died, but it seems like an okay way to start a battle to me.
Things would be a lot simpler if I lived 2000 years ago too. School would probably be a lot less shitty and parents probably for easier.
