Montgomery, when school ended, would normally count down the seconds until she could message Luke. Today, though, she wanted nothing else except to be able to hide in her blankets and never resurface. She had to face him sometime, though.

She slung her backpack down once she made it to her room. She sat on her bed, grabbed her laptop, and began her daily routine: check Twitter, which she rarely used unless to DM Luke, check Wattpad for any updates, and check her IMs for signs of Luke.

How could she ever survive without him?

Her phone binged on her bedside table, vibrating. She picked it up, realizing Luke had texted her.

HAHAHEMMO: up for a chat? :)

She slid the notification across the screen, opening her messages. She just kind of looked at it, not knowing how to respond.

HAHAHEMMO: M?

HAHAHEMMO: hola?

HAHAHEMMO: whERE ART THOU

HAHAHEMMO: i can see you're reading my texts

HAHAHEMMO: am i being too clingy or

Me: tired is all

HAHAHEMMO: oh ok

HAHAHEMMO: i have to have dinner now

HAHAHEMMO: goodbye for now, M:)

Me: bye, luke.

He didn't deserve this.

But Montgomery couldn't get the thought out of her head that Luke was at her school. She could talk to him whenever she wanted. But yet, she felt awkward talking to him online. She wasn't even sure why.

She just knew that this would not end well.
