I jumped out of bed, threw on some clothing, and danced to music while I ate until the doorbell rang.

I answered the door with a happy facial expression, excited to see Louis. He seemed a bit different though, his focus seemed like it was on something else and while he was also happy to see me, he was just weirder than normal.

We walked to school and the whole time, for a second or two in increments, he would glance at me and look away.

"I know that your probably scared about what might happen today. But... I know that you will help with what you can because that's how your heart is but just so you know, I'm not scared and you shouldn't be either." I explained as I kicked a small pebble that was laying on the ground.

"I know Clem... it's just..." He said, looking as if he wanted to say something but holding off.

"It's just... what?" I questioned, looking up at his face which was focused on the ground and his shoes.

"Its... it's nothing." He huffed.

"Okay..." I brushed off as we continued walking to the large building.

"Clem..." he dragged, gaining all of my attention.

"What's up, Lou?" I asked, sympathetically.

"I- uh- you know- you see- I- you mean alot to me and... shit... I... dont know anymore." He mumbled out.

I grabbed his wrist and stopped us. As soon as he turned around to face me, I wrapped my arms around him and gently squeezed to a kind embrace.

"You know you can talk to me, right? About literally anything. Anything at all. I'll always be here for you, no matter what happens." I softly calmed, trying to rid of his very known nerves.

"Thank you." He thanked shortly hugging me back before we both let go of the embrace.

"Nothings gonna happen, Louis. I promise you." I said offering him a tissue from my bag while he slightly sniffled.

"Okay. I believe you..." he accepted and we walked to school silently with the exception of a sniffle here or there.

We went to our lockers as soon as we stepped foot into the building to put away our stuff and as soon as I opened my locker, a piece of folded paper fell out.

I was busy talking to Vi in the hallway so I let Louis go without me. The only other person I saw in the hallway was Mitch and both of them would protect me if anything happened.

Louis was in the classroom, I figured he was already sad today so I was just going to leave him alone and not pick at him. It was fall, my favorite season. My birthday was in a few weeks, November 7th.

I bent down, carefully, making sure Myles wasnt around to pick up the paper and gently grabbed it, ensuring I wouldn't accidentally damage it in some way.

I put my stuff away, said goodbye to Violet, and sat down next to Louis who's face was laid down in his hands. He looked exhausted.

I opened the note and read it silently.

"Rose's are red, Violets are blue, sugar is sweet and so are you." It wrote with hearts scattered around the page.

I couldn't stop smiling.

We went throughout our day and I went to my locker before lunch to get my food and another unexpected paper fell out. I went to lunch and sat with everyone. Louis was still... off but I figured he was either tired or he didn't want to be at school which was understandable as I didn't either.
