Chapter 33 : Unofficially Official

Everyone was hugging Nandini , trying to fill the void in Nandini's life by their presence but they failed to understand the hollowness in her. Manik stood at a distance with his hands to his chest. What else can he wish for? He wished all his life to find his true love in a person whom even his family loves because it was important for him that his family happily approve of his relationship . Everyone was smiling whereas Aryaman stood at one side, his eyes showing just pure anger. He was staring the scene unfolding in front of him which he wasn't liking at all. Nandini, upon not finding him looked around and when her eyes met his, she lowered her eyes. She was very well able to see his enraged eyes and also knew the reason, but she also had her own reasons to do it.

When everyone parted Aryaman was coming near her to talk to her, but Nandini tried to avoid him. "Umm I need to go now. I have some urgent work. Arya you stay here for some more time I'll take your leave", she said hurriedly and passed on a smile to Manik. Manik was quick to notice the formal tone of Nandini to Aryaman which usually isn't there. He understood there was some kind of tension between the two but was weighing his options . Should he interfere or let them solve the issue? He decided against interfering. He knew that they both will sort it out among themselves. Before Nandini could move Nyonika said, " Nandini beta tonight is Abhi's reception. Be present there on time. We'll be waiting for you ", Nandini nodded her head and rushed out as soon as she could without sparing a glance at Arya. Arya was able to do nothing but grit his teeth.

Ammu too was observing Arya. When everyone was busy with their work she went towards him and asked, " Is everything okay between you and Nandini ma'am? ", shocked a little Aryaman nodded a yes. "Waise thank you for handling me that day. Had you not calmed me down, I would have gone mad, so thank you so much", Arya smiled at her and said, "Friends don't take thank yous", Ammu arched her eyebrows and said, "Who said we are friends? ", Aryaman replied with same expressions, "Aren't we? ", With a smug she replied, " You never asked", a giggle escaped Aryaman's mouth ,"Okay. So Ms. Amyrah Malhotra will you be my FRIEND? " Aryaman put friends in air commas. "Though you aren't my standard but still I'll consider for your sake", she laughed and made even the angry Arya smile. "So my new FRIEND I'll talk to you later, abhi I have to go I have some urgent work ", Aryaman told her and she blinked her eyes. Arya left taking everyone's leave.

Nandini was sitting in her cabin with her eyes closed and her hand massaging her forehead. She had done what she felt was right but wasn't sure if it actually is correct or no. Nandini was scared, sacred to think about the consequences of everyone knowing her true identity and she was letting this overpower her . She knew she had to face Aryaman too but she didn't have much strength to deal with him. She wished that his anger is just a temporary thing and it dies when he comes from Malhotra Mansion.

There was a loud thud and Arya came inside her cabin, his eyes still showed that same level of anger to her. Nandini thought, "the time ahead was going to be tough". She got up from her chair and turned so that she doesn't have to face him. Arya almost screamed, "What you did out there was wrong Nandini", Nandini let out a sigh but didn't say a word. Arya continued after giving a fake laugh, "Seriously Nandini? Do you really think telling a lie was right? You saw naa how they treated you , just like their daughter and you're saying this. Come to your sense Nandini! ", Nandini kept her composure and said, "Stop yelling Arya". Arya's temper was going higher and higher because of no response from her side, "Nandini, they called you their daughter and you're lying to them. You are lying to Manik who is trying to help you. How can you do this Nandini? To do hell with your righteousness, I stood beside you in everything you did but I'm not with you in this. They deserve to know about Arveena, (remember the name, she'll play a big role afterwards 😉) they deserve to know about Amma , they deserve to know what happened that day and not these baseless lies that you told", she again tried to reason, " But Arya i didn't tell them anything wrong...i... Just missed a...few details" , " Oh really Nandini. Just a few? You portrayed a different picture Nandini. Whatever you said was just half the truth, neither did you explain the whole scenario nor did you tell the whole truth." Aryaman's voice went soft suddenly, "I thought you'll atleast tell them the truth after seeing their behaviour with you but no . Anyway it's useless to argue with you as you won't understand ", Aryaman lowered his head and moved out. Nandini too sighed and sat down again massaging her tempels. This was by far the most heated conversation she ever had with Arya. She didn't say a word to Arya because she knew in his angry state he won't be able to understand her point of view. It wasn't that she didn't want to tell the truth, she did, she was waiting for the right moment to tell them the truth.
For the time being she decided to close her mouth and reveal when it's right.
