Murthy Mansion
Even though Nandini was back at her Mansion, the cloud of frustration that she had carried from the cafe refused to leave her side. Something or the other made her more annoyed, more irritated and more frustrated. Having a Nandini who is having a bad day around was like playing with fire. You have to keep each step after close examination for anything may result in a twerk from her. She can get grumpy at anything and you can bet on that. Moreover, not having the extinguisher around, Aryaman for aid, it became more taxing.
Thus, when the servants noticed the foul mood of their master, they were quick to leave her way or it would be their last day in the house. Nandini too was aware at how people perceive her anger. She didn't mind it. Nonetheless, she made her way to the outhouse, which was her own designed home studio, or her second room.
If she's at her house, she'll be found here 99 times, doing something or nothing at all but observing. Right now, she was here to remove that pent up frustration from her system, because she needed a clear mind. A clear mind for she had A lOT to do. She looked at aisle, which had a blank canvas attached to it, and a design sketched on it. She had started working on her Summer Collection designs earlier that week but got too caught up with things and the upcoming fashion show to concentrate on it.
That half designed outfit was like a crackle in her eye. God knows what was so disastrous in that sight of an incomplete work of art that she tore away the page and threw it. "What has happened to my skill? That was worst", she murmured to herself. Now, if you show that crumpled paper to some fashion expert, surely his thoughts won't match Nandini's. That may not be the best but certainly wasn't worst.
Not quite understanding that, she folded the sleeves of her white top, removed her watch and picked up the pencil from the table and began. She drew, she tore, she crumpled and then began again. This cycle continued for what felt like an hour. Nothing that flew out of her pencil seemed good enough for her and that irritated her more.
She needed her brain to think about some inspiration but all what it could picturise was a smirking Manik Malhotra who made Nandini helpless. How degrading that word even looked to her. She hated being helpless and she was just that. The cause of this mishap, Cabir Dhawan, was already on her target list and she was sure to make him repent whenever she can. No one, I repeat, no one backs out on Nandini Murthy and if one does, she will surely let him feel the loss. Even before meeting each other face to face, Nandini had picked up enmity for Cabir Dhawan. Only time will tell what will happen when they meet.
Throwing the pencil on the table as a way of venting, she finally sat back on the chair, sighing deeply. There was no way she will be able to design something right now and this was just a waste of time and energy. Yeah, she understood things hard way.
Calling for her special strong black coffee from the intercom, she held her tablet in her hand to go through other designs and approve them. She liked some, she disliked some while some proved to be worst, but they did help her take her mind out of a certain Malhotra. With this progress she would have forgotten about it, but God had other plans for her.
A snippet of the news of the hour that popped up in the notification bar, took all her attention towards it self. The headlines was attractive enough to make Nandini open it and read.
"Did Manik Malhotra betray BFF Cabir Dhawan to snatch the all important NA Textiles project?"
Usually, she won't care about these kind of headlines until she is asked to look into it, but the name Manik Malhotra was quite in limelight for her right now. Upon opening the tab, a few facts came to light for her, leaving her horrid. It was clearly stated that Cabir was well in the town and available. Was Cabir double crossing her? If he was then one cell in the Mumbai Jail was booked for him.
