Chapter 2: Wishes

Avi and Kevin soon arrived back home after the meeting. Kevin went straight to his room, to write down a few ideas that the group had all made. Avi walked into the kitchen, to make some dinner for the two.

As Avi waited for the grilled sandwiches to cook, he sat down on the couch and started thinking about the band, and more importantly, Kirstie.

Why was she staring at me and blushing when Kevin and I walked in? Did I do something? Did she notice my feelings for her?

Avi liked Kirstie. No... He LOVED Kirstie. He loved her since the band won the sing off. The way her blonde hair fell around her shoulders, her voice as she sang, how no matter what she was always smiling and ready to do something. He wanted to tell her, always did, but he never had the courage. He wouldn't tell anyone, not even Kevin.

And the fans.... What would the fans say if we were together?

Avi sighed as he quietly hummed a made-up minor tune.

I just wish she was mine... Wish we were together... Wish no-one would worry or care...

The smoke alarm suddenly went off, and Avi jumped. Kevin came out, wondering what was wrong.
'Oops... Sorry. Just thinking about the meeting.' Avi was telling the truth, just not in it's entirety.
'Are you sure you're ok though? You look like you're having a rough time..' Kevin spoke with a worrying tone.
'No, seriously, it's cool. Just coming up with some ideas.'
'Whatever you say, Avi.' Kevin said, but with an unsure sense to his voice, and slowly backed into the kitchen.
