We all spend a while at the beach, and for the first time I could breathe and feel at peace. It was a normal cloudy day in La Push and everyone was congratulating Wyatt, Leah wasn't any girl, and in a way I was happy but protective of her. Rebecca and Rachael had lefted when I started high school. Leah was annoying but when she changed, we became close, closer when Nessie disappear. She was the closest thing to a sister that I had. She was blissfully happy and Wyatt was a little intimidated by Seth, he already gave him 'if you hurt her, your ass is mine' speech. I was there to back him up. But for the major part of the time Wyatt and Seth really got along. It was about sun set when Nessie wanted to go to Charlie's house, I could tell that she was nervous.

It was hard to keep Charlie out of the loop with Nessie missing. Bella made the excuse that Nessie was at a boarding school in an unknown place, saying that Nessie had become a brat and needed to learn a lesson. I told her that in the holidays' Bella and Edward would 'receive' letters and they would show it to Charlie to let him know that Nessie was okay because Charlie was angry and he yelled at Bella for sending Nessie away.

Nessie got her stories straight and to tell you the truth, Charlie, to be a man that doesn't hover, he hovered a lot. He hugged her and he couldn't let her go. Nessie was really happy and she let Charlie know that what happen between Edward, Bella, and her was only between them. They had amazing time, cooking and laughing. I was surprised at how Charlie coped to Nessie's growth change, but hey he knew she's was not normal.

When we were about to leave I got a text from Sam saying that they where having a bonfire. I knew that in this bonfire I was going to have to make my self clear. Everyone was there, all the guys and their imprints, there was a barbecue and everyone was having fun. I found Sam's gaze and it was like we were wolves I knew he was going to make an announcements and on cue he made everyone listen and a dead silence filled the air.

"Everyone knows that Emily and I want to have kids, and we believe that me being a wolf would really get in the way. I know that it would be hard but I can't be Alpha forever, but I believe that who's going to replace me is going to do an amazing job." My heart was thumping and Nessie squeezes my hand, I looked at her and she smiles. Sam saw this and smiles.

"Out of the ten first wolves to change in this era, there was one of us who was meant to always become Alpha but denied it. But when his own was in trouble he reacted, you all know the story when Jacob stood up to the pack for a girl named Bella but Bella was pregnant, we in the time didn't understand until Nessie was born and then we saw why he did that. That's why I think that Jacob is the only person that could really be Alpha." Everyone started clapping and Nessie hugged me really tight, she gave me her dazzling smile. But deep down in my heart I didn't want this, this place was my home but couldn't stay, I couldn't pull Nessie away from her family when they just got her back.

"Sam, I'm flatter that you have that opinion of me, and I swear that I thought this through, I can't become Alpha." the smile he had recently disappear into an expression with no emotion.

"I can't be Alpha of something when I can't stay in. Nessie and I will last forever, and maybe one day I'll back and become Alpha of a pack going to need me, but you guys don't need me, you really don't. You guys think that I've been oblivious to the fact the new wolves they already have their 'Alpha'" I looked around, trying to find him, he was sitting near they fire with his imprinting object, holding hands.

"Alex," he eyes widen I looked at Sam and he nodded approving my chose.

"How would you like to be Alpha?"i said, everyone was dead silent, you could hear the fire crackling and the crickets singing in the dark. Everyone was looking at him while he looked at me.

"Alex," his imprinting object whisper in his ears he snapped out of whatever trance he was in, he looked at her and then at me.

"How would you like to be Alpha, I've seen how the other guys treat you when you give orders when Sam's not around." everyone started cheering and Alex just looked lost.

"Come on Alex you've always been the leader type, accept the offer." one of his friends said.

"Are you guys sure, I think..."

"Nothing, do you hear me you think nothing. We want you to be Alpha." one of the newest kids said. Everyone mumbles in agreement. The feel of courage came to his face and something glisten in his eyes.

"I accept to be Alpha when Sam steps down." everyone started cheering him and the bonfire had it old feeling of safe and home.

After that day, Embry, Seth and Leah came back with their imprinting object. Bella came right away and hugged Nessie, someone must have been thinking about what happen last night because Edward gave me a man hug.

"Thank you for not taking her." he whisper.

"No problem, you guys are my family, why would I hurt my family."

"Speak for your self." I heard Rosalie say.

"Oh Blondie I know you love me." I knew this was going to bite me in the ass but I couldn't resist. I gave her a hug, and it not like she struggle because she was stronger then me when I was in the form.

When I looked at everyone, they where all trying to repress there laughter excepted for Emmett. Rosalie smelled her shirt and mumbled "I need to change clothes." when she said that everyone started laughing she was turning around and cracked a smirk. Yep, Blondie is warming up to me.

We all went in after her and Esme was doing lunch. As I chewed my food I looked at the living room. Edward was showing Bella how to play the piano. Alice was on the couch with Jasper's head on her lap while she played with his hair having a conversation at the same time while Emmett was with Rosalie watching some chick flick, Emmett said something that made Rosalie hit him and laugh. Leah and Wyatt were doing the same while holding hands and smile to each other. Embry and Stella were in the forest doing god knows what, while Esme and Carlisle were hunting. Seth and Stacey where here eating, after every couple of minutes there eyes would meet but break getting back to eat. Last but not least there was Nessie, sleeping in my arms while I took her to my room.

I set her down and her eyes fluttered open. She smiled at me as I cuddled with her. She hugged me, then she looked at me with eyes that said what she wanted. I didn't hesitate to give it to her. I brought my head down and kissed her, she responded right away, we were wrapped in each other. She was finally mine and I was finally hers. Nothing in this world was more prefect then having her in my arms, where she belonged.
