Dragging him around was a task, but I somehow managed to do so. He is of course still soaring to the moon, but either way, I know I have to help him out. This is his first full day of school after all.

When we finally make it to the park, I let him sit on a bench nearby to take a breather. I don't exactly know how to help someone down from their high, but I assume that getting a lot of fresh air and time will help with that.

For the first time since I met him, he's quiet. His eyes are closed as he focuses on breathing in the fresh pine scent of the air. He really seems to be enjoying himself. Wish I could say the same.

When he decides to open his eyes again, he looks up at me and I can tell that he has almost fully sobered up. His eyes are not as dilated before and his face isn't as flushed.

"Feeling better?" I ask, genuinely wondering. His bright look suddenly turns into a deep scowl before he speaks up. "If you mean losing the feel of my high, then yes," he spits. So much for helping him.

Sometimes people should show a little more gratitude and I've had it with his lack of it. "You know what, go screw yourself. I tried helping you out, but clearly you don't want any, so sorry for intruding on your illegal activities that would most certainly have gotten you kicked out of the program before you could even utter a word," I growl, turning away.

Before I could stand up, he grabs my wrist and I turn back, flames blazing in my eyes. "What?!" I scold, glaring at him. "What do you think I was trying to do when I was up there?" He questions with a serious look plastered on his face. Does he want me to state the obvious?

"To get high! What else!" I state more than question. "If that was the case, don't you think I would have been smarter and gone somewhere else?" He reiterates, looking at me like I'm stupid.

"What are you implying?" I ask, clearly confused to what he means. Was he trying to get caught?

"You know what, there is no point in explaining to you because you're obviously too delusional to get the picture," he exclaims crossing his arms in front of his chest.

"The only thing I'm delusional about is how I got placed in seven classes with a fucking asshole that I have to sit next to in each one. Other than that, I'm aye okay," I clarify, feeling a little pestered. I feel like it's probably a good idea to stop here, but he needs to see things with a bit more clarity.

"But for you, I wouldn't exactly be able to say the same. Clearly you're out of your fucking mind if you're purposefully trying to get sent back to where ever the fuck you came from and miss out on an opportunity as amazing as this one, which might I add, doesn't come around very often," I exclaim, mimicking his scowl before finishing my banter.

"So maybe, start being a little more grateful for the things that are given to you," I finish, feeling pretty satisfied with my words and stand up again, not bothering to hear his reply. Walking away, I hear him mumble something under his breath, probably cursing me for my lecture like mouth. You can't blame me for doing it.
...

When I get home, I decide to take a self rewarded bath. First day of school, check. Having a perfect year, not so much.

Sadly, the simpleton life I want for this year isn't going to happen with William in the mix. He seems like quite the troublemaker looking back at the evidence from today, but like I said before, I don't just assume that's the case, even though every fibre in my body is telling me otherwise.

I will have to figure out soon enough who Willam Villa really is, but in the meantime, tomorrow is a new day and I'm ready to see what it will come to.
