I had something different in mind, but I don't know what happened, and this is the final product. There will be a continuation, so wait for it! I hope you like what I've done here and that their characters are not too OOC.

How were they supposed to know that it would start snow-storming before they could make their way back to the Demon Slayer's Corp with their report? They went to a distant town, a day away, looking into the disappearance of women, men, and children. They had received information that one of the lower level moon demons were roaming in the area, so they went to investigate the situation. However, they didn't found anything remotely suspicious. It looked like it was the doing of a new demon.

Shinobu had arrived before her companion, and a few hours later, Tomioka joined her.

"We can't go back with this storm." Shinobu said, pouting in annoyance.

"It's not so bad." He said thoughtfully. "We've experienced far worse on missions."

"True, but we won't have enough visibility." She remarked. "Besides, the temperatures are far too cold. We could get frozen to death."

He hummed.

"I'm going to look for an inn." She said and began to walk toward the center of the town.

"If you want to stay, go ahead. I'm leaving now."

"Do as you please, Tomioka-san." She gave him a smile.

If Tomioka wanted to freeze to death, that was his problem. Shinobu wasn't going to worry about it, nor did she care, or did she? She wished the man wasn't as reckless and stupid as he was. Why would he want to travel in these conditions?

After some time, she found a suitable inn. It was not the fanciest, but it was affordable and clean. The bedroom was small but spacious enough to hold at least three people. She took the mat, pillow, and blanket the inn provided her, and she laid it on the floor. She was shedding off of her clothes when she heard a rasp on her door.

"Ma'am," A young woman addressed her from behind the door. "A man is asking for you."

When she opened the door, the woman seemed quite nervous. She immediately tried to smell for demons.

"What is it?" Shinobu asked.

"A man he looks-"The woman began to say, but a rough voice she knew too well cut her off. The woman screeched in surprise.

"Shinobu, is that you?" She heard Tomioka call after her.

"Tomioka-san, what are you doing here?" She said, poking her head out through the door. "I thought you said you were leaving."

"The storm got worse." He said.

"E-Excuse me," Shinobu looked at the girl glancing nervously between them. She had forgotten about her. "Do you know this man?"

"Yes."

"Is he your husband or boyfriend?" She asked shyly, unable to look at Tomioka.
