*HI IM SO SORRY FOR GOING MIA. Honestly I didn't think many ppl were into the story but when I logged back in today I saw all the love and it made me really happy. So, here's an update. Thank you all!!*
I followed Jeff to a bathroom that was off the kitchen and I sat on the toilet lid as he rummaged through the medicine cabinet.
"I'm pretty sure you're like the only girl that's gotten shot with the paintball gun." He pointed out.
"Really? I think I should get a reward then." I smirked, earning myself a little smile from Jeff before he continued looking for peroxide.
It didn't take long before his voice echoed through the bathroom. "Aha! I found it." He cheered and looked down at the welt on my shoulder. "can you.. uh.."
I furrowed my eyebrows together and looked to where he was looking. My straps. "Can I move my straps? Yeah, I think I can manage." I let out a breathy laugh and moved them out of his way.
"Thank you." He nodded.
"Actually, I should say Thank you. Y'know, for all this." I blushed a bit when I locked eyes with him.
"Oh, it's no problem. Really. And good news, the paint splatter didn't get on your shirt besides a few dots here and there." He said as he slowly whipped off my arm making sure he didn't hurt me.
"Bad news, it hit my bare skin." I muttered with a small smile.
"It'll sting for a while but by tomorrow it'll just be a mark. Trust me, I've been shot by that fucking thing more times then I can count." He chuckled.
"I believe it. Brandon's always talking about David shooting people. I don't know how you all aren't traumatized by him." I joked.
"What makes you think we aren't." He added making us both laugh even more until we heard a knock on the door, even though it wasn't shut completely.
Brandon popped his head in and saw us. He looked kinda confused before speaking. "What's going on in here?"
"Mads shot me. No one told you?" I asked, showing him the welt on my shoulder. He shook his head no and told me how he hopes I'm okay then walked away making sure the door was wide open this time, leaving Jeff and I alone once again.
"So, Brandon's your brother?" Jeff quizzed.
"Yeah." I huffed. "He's very protective."
"I could definitely tell, even before you came over today because of how he'd talk about you. But anyway, you're all good. No more paint or blood." He assured.
"Why thank you, doctor Jeff." I smiled as I received one back. Once I fixed my straps, I stood up and followed Jeff back into the living room where everyone had migrated after the vlog bit. I was worried I'd feel more anxious but everyone was so welcoming and fun that it was hard not to be comfortable around them.
"Shay!" I heard David call. "Are you okay? I didn't mean for you to get shot."
"It's okay, I'm fine. She's done a lot worse to me anyway." I laughed.
"Lies!! I've never hurt you." Madi interjected causing me to scoff.
"Bullshit. Remember when you got drunk and burnt me with a blunt? You basically put that shit out on my leg." I raised my eyebrows and crossed my arms. My story left her speechless, trying to find her words, making everyone chuckle.
"People aren't ashtrays Madi." David stated.
Rolling her eyes, she defended herself "I know! I didn't do it on purpose!"
"Suuure you didn't." Jason added. The house filled with laughter for what felt the hundredth time since I've been here. I hoped this wouldn't be my last visit now that I've gotten to experience the joy of being around everyone.
We all ended up chilling out on the couch for a little while, talking and getting to know each other. While we all sat and talked about crazy stories, I learned a lot about the group and got close with them, especially Corinna who had sat next to me since Madi made sure to sit closest to David.
Me and her were able to talk to each other without the entirety of the group hearing us so we were making jokes about the boys most of the time as well as me letting her in on some embarrassing Brandon stories.
"I hate to interrupt your story but, and don't look, Jeff has been staring at you for the past five minutes." Corinna whispered, leaving my mouth half opened with only one word able to escape, "really?"
Ignoring her warning, I looked over at him and sure enough, we locked eyes once again. I smiled slightly and looked back at the girl beside me.
"I just told you not to do that." She scolded in a hushed voiced.
"I had to!" I admitted. "You can't tell someone not to look and actually expect them not to."
"That's fair. I think he has a little bit of a crush on youuu."
And with that, I sat back and continued to listen to the group joke around and keep talking but this time, being more aware of the black haired boy sitting across the room.
