Around 5 o'clock Madi and I decided to head home, with me driving this time. We said a few short goodbyes to everyone and then headed off. The ride home was extremely quiet and awkward, leaving little for conversation. Honestly I don't think I've ever heard her this quiet since I've met her.

I pulled into the parking garage and carefully parked. Without a single word, Madi got out of the jeep and headed to the apartment. I quickly followed after her, almost chasing her up the stairs but alas, she had made it to the door before I did so I called out to her making her freeze with the key in the door knob.

"Can you chill for a sec?" I breathed. "What's going on with you?"

She simply rolled her eyes and walked through the doorway before saying anything. "Honestly Shay, I don't know what your deal is." She started as I made my way into the apartment. "You made a huge deal about me borrowing your car then you throw a fit when I can't come pick you up and then you have an attitude with me all day. For real?"

I took a deep breath and tried to speak but I really had to think about what I was about to say since she threw a complete curve ball at me. I hesitated, "Ar- are you serious right now?"

She scoffed loudly and went into her room "No, Madi! You're not walking away from this." I snapped. I managed to squeeze through the door before she could close it. "You have been treating me like shit ever since you met David you haven't been cleaning, or doing any housework at all, you take my car without asking, you ignore me all the time. Honestly I feel like I'm living with a stranger."

"Well then maybe you should." She spit with venom laced in her words. I was completely overthrown with shock leaving me speechlessness for a minute but it soon turned into anger and all I said was, "fine."

I immediately left the room and shut her door behind me before I went into my room and pulled my duffel bag down from the top of my closet. I threw a few outfits in there and my phone charger. My next stop was the bathroom where I grabbed some personal hygiene items before my last stop, which was the living room, to make sure I had all the basic essentials.

As I rummaged through the bag, Madi came out with her arms crossed and her brows furrowed. "What are you doing."

"Exactly what you suggested. I'm going to go stay with a stranger." Stated while I zipped my bag up and headed for the the front door.

"You can't be fucking serious." She blurted.

"I am. I think it's best if we just give each other some space for a little. I mean, shit. We've been joined at the hip for years." I explained. "Maybe it'll help your attitude and my lack of patience with you."

"Yknow what? Fine. Have fun trying to find someone to stay with since you don't have friends." She sneered, causing my anger to boil up. I stormed out, slamming the door behind me.

Although I wasn't sure where I was going, I went and got into my jeep. I immediately knew I wasn't going to stay with my brother. There was no questioning that, which led to me having to think of who I  would want to stay with and also someone I'd be comfortable asking to stay with for a few nights. About a minute went by and everyone I thought of, I found a reason I didn't want to stay with them.

Damn, I really don't have any friends...

I could always see if he wants company until I find somewhere to stay. I messaged back, trying to figure out what I want to say as quick as possible.

I sped off as soon as he sent me his address. I did not want to be at the apartment building any longer. Thankfully the gps said the destination was only 10 minutes away.

I guess he wasn't lying when he said I have him.
