The moon honors her children with a part of herself every few 100 years.

A tiny piece of her soul.

A gift that is to be treasured and protected.

A sheer.

But what happens when the line between love and hate is crossed.

When pleasure turns into pain.

And lust turns into greed an obsession.

They were taught to never go against the Moon.

But one did.

An now She demands retribution.

After the death of her parents Athena moves to a small town where she hopes to start a new life hoping to leave the grief behind. She meets Melissa and Grace the same day and the trio clicks instantly. They offer her a place to stay and she accepts eagerly. For a year life was good and she finally started to feel like they were a real family. One fated day on their way to the diner were all three of them work ships are seen in the sky.

"Invaded by Aliens" Words heard on the television earlier that morning.

Taken and shoved into a world full of paranormal creatures she has no choice but to comply.
Fear : A feeling, emotion that she has never been familiar with becomes her constant companion. Fear for her, for Grace and all the other females that were taken.

See monsters don't only come out at night. They don't have ugly deformed faces. They don't hide beneath your bed or in your closet. They are all around us.

How to spot one? Simple: Just look in the mirror.

We are all capable of being monsters, Some of us just choose not to be.

But my monster has a name:

Toraq

He takes what he want when he wants. He is the definition of strength and power. He is Alpha, and the only thing standing between him and preventing the extinction of his people is Athena.

But what happens when he takes too much?

Chapter 1

*

"Athena, Get your ass up." A pillow hits my face in a silent smack. Confused I sit up.

"What?" I ask rubbing my sleepy eyes.

"Have you seen the news? Get up." Melissa my one roommate yells from my bedroom door, standing with her hands on her hips. I should have known it was her, its always her. She's the loud and proud one out of the three of us. She's always the culprit or in this case the pillow thrower. I should be used to her anticst by now right after two years of living together one would think that I am. Her wake up calls iritate me to no end especially because I am not and have never been a morning person.

Between the three of us she is definetly the wild one, the strong one, having had to raise and rely on herself since she was a child.

Orphan

She still hates that word, hates how it defines you as a child and as a grown person. She hates how that word puts her in a catergory she had no choice of being in. A parent should be programmed to love their child right, a kind of love at first sight thing.
