I'm going to start giving non-con warnings before it actually happens, so look out for the (*) before the first paragraph if you want to skip it.

The assistant, Jennifer Mayers, was clear with what Emma had to keep up with; texts, emails, phone calls, and any other forms of communication she had. She was to keep her job description to others brief without any inside comments on how her work life was.

Her shifts were subject to vary, from early in the morning to late into the nights. She wasn't allowed to refuse and was instructed to keep up with her punctuation.

Lastly, if she spoke about whatever went on inside the building, she would be found out and was subject for court-martial and immediate termination. Emma had thankfully read about the majority of what she was told in the application and acted upon the job's wishes.

She hadn't told her father or brother, that much was certain.

For the first two weeks, Emma had done what she was being paid to do and ran errands. She often picked up William and Mayer's coffee on a strict shift; seven in the morning, noon, and four in the afternoon. She gathered his papers without directly looking at them when Mayers demanded it, and chauffeured Ms. Mayers, wherever the woman desired.

Emma kept up with whatever desire the two of them wanted from her with no complaints. She was determined to keep the job she had. Her bruise healed within the week, allowing her to stop using foundation to hide it. So far, everything was going great, and she would go out of her way to keep it that way.

She couldn't help but notice her boss's boss staring at her more than once, however. Whenever she caught him, she didn't reveal herself and instead showed off her "assets" to tease him. She was good with what she did and caused him enough discomfort to turn away from her quickly.

With the executive keeping his hands to himself and the assistant paying her no mind, Emma was well on her way to getting out of the situation she was in.

On her first day off, she decided to celebrate with wine. After dressing up in her favorite turtleneck dress and gladiator sandals, she sneaked out of her window and got in her car. She drove across the street from a liquor store and turned her car off, approaching her friend giddily. The two exchanged words briefly before Emma passed the money for the woman to use before the woman left for the store.

As she waited, a figure brushed past her almost violently, sending her tumbling. She twisted to the man with a scowl and shouted, "Watch where you're going, asshole!"

The man whipped around and glared at her with bright blue eyes. "Sorry, I thought I was stepping around trash." He didn't give her a chance to say more, stalking off.

She snorted and scowled, turning away from him. "What a prick," she muttered.

"I wouldn't mind him."

Emma whipped her head up in shock as she met eyes with William. "S-Sir?" What was he doing out in the middle of the night in one of the shadier parts of town? He wasn't in his usual attire, instead dressed in a pair of dark blue jeans, a wrinkled blue dress shirt and black sneakers. Not to mention his hair was down.

He looked fucking gorgeous and it made her heart flip against her wishes.

"What are you doing out so late?" he questioned, raising an eyebrow.

It was close to ten at night, but it was still late, all considered. She bit her lip this time before shrugging and saying, "Oh, I-I'm just waiting on a friend to pick me up."

"Around the corner of a mini-mart?" He gave her a skeptical glance, shuffling out of the way when the woman Emma gave money to approached them.

"It looks like they had your favorite on sale," the woman chirped, "Did you want the change back or...oh... Hello there~" She'd officially forgotten all about Emma, now turning to her general manager with a sly smile. "You come around often?"
