Ch. 40 Mea and Chris

Chris POV

Zabdiel had just came back home and I watched as he opened the door for Mea who looked beautiful as always in her red dress. He guided her towards the door which was where the petal path began

As she came closer, I became more nervous each second and felt the worries fade away slowly

She walked up to me slowly with a beautiful smile plastered on her face. I just hope that I can keep her this happy always.

Chris: You look beautiful - she blushed
Mea: You don't look so bad yourself

I pulled out her chair and scooted her forward after she sat down to take my seat after as the gentleman I am

We heard the door leading here open and saw Erick and Zabdiel coming in with a plate of Mexican salad and spaghetti. I observed Mea trying to take in every small detail but when she looked at me, I saw a sparkle in her eyes showing how happy she was.

Zabdiel: We hope you enjoy.
Erick: Buon Apetit
Mea: Thank you
Chris: Thanks

I can't describe how nervous I am, seeing her this happy while I'm here pretending to be calm even though I'm freaking out trying not to say something that'll ruin the moment.

10 minutes later...

We finished eating in a comfortable silence.

Mea: You look nervous- "Shit!", I said to myself
Chris: Well, I think we are ready for this

I grabbed her hand and took her to the center of the candles where I got on one knee. I grabbed a rose I had putten in the suit pocket inside and extended it towards her while she looked surprised.

Chris: Would you make me one of the happiest men in the world by becoming my queen, my love, my girlfriend?- I asked as I saw her tear up
Mea: Yes!

I quickly got up and in a swift movement got a hold of her waist as we had our first of many kisses. I love her so much to know that I will never let her go
