It was very late at night when Billy drove over to (Y/N)'s house. He had recently gotten into a fight with his father, who stayed up to catch Billy sneaking in, and really needed to have some sort of comfort. Back in California, he would just go to some random girl's house, fuck the shit out of them, and then go to the beach and stay there until morning or the afternoon. But now, he has one girl to go to every time he has this feeling to leave town and never come back. (Y/N) made him feel like he isn't a total fuck-up and that what he thinks, feels, and says is valid and should be heard. She made him feel special.

(Y/N) was half asleep when someone knocked on her window. Her room faced the front yard, so it was easy for someone to climb up as the front was decorated with vines that were as thick as Billy.

(Y/N) stumbled her way out of bed and to her window that was just across the room.

"B-Billy? What's going on?" (Y/N) grumbled with half opened eyes. Billy was just on the other side, cold and hurt.

"I just need somewhere to sleep, and you were the first person I thought of."

"Where's you other girlfriends? I'm sure they would loove to give you a bed for the night." Billy just sat there.

"Wait, you're serious?" This woke up (Y/N). There really must be something wrong with him. (Y/N) stepped aside to let Billy in.

"What happened Billy? What's wrong?" (Y/N) helped take Billy's jacket and clothes off before tucking him into bed, her beside him.

"I forgot to pick Max up from her friend's house and when my father found out..." (Y/N)'s eyes widened. His father beats him? But Billy was such a great guy!

"What do you need from me?" Billy was surprised that this girl next to him asked that. He thought that she would understand why his father does what he does and even side with his father. Billy treated her like shit and she's here taking care of her. It confused him immensely, but Billy was so grateful for that. This is what he really needs in his life and he was surprised that he didn't see her worth until it was too late.

"Why are you like this? Why are you helping me? I've treated you like you aren't a person, but you come and just save me from myself. Why?" Billy asked. (Y/N) took a deep breath and looked at Billy. There was a bruise forming on his cheekbone and his eyes were red from crying.

"Because I'm a stickler for men who treats me wrong. I believe that I can change them. I hoped that my father would stop beating me and realize that I'm not my mother but that never happened. And I thought that you would realize that I'm going to be here for you, and I look past your good looks to see how of an amazing person you are. I see the good in people and I try to make them see it too."

"But I'm not good. I'm the bad guy."

"No, you are just hurt. Let me in and help you."
