0 Prologue

Third Person's POV

"Sis! What's taking you so long?" Amaryliss giggled and clicked a button on her desk to open the door revealing a pouting boy wearing a suit in a shade of dark violet and his once black hair now has highligts of dark violet.

"I'm sorry, Aster. I was fixing my hair." She said and smiled apologetically as she placed a red Amaryllis on her hair as a finishing touch.

"I'm always wondering why Mom and Dad named us after flowers." Aster mused as he placed a necklace around her sister's neck.

"Dad did mention that Mom was in loved with different types of flowers during her pregnancy. It was a good thing I was not named 'Rose' or something." Amaryliss said quite jokingly making Aster snort and shake his head.

"Seriously Sis. Let's go. Mom has been looking for you since an hour ago." Aster said and dragged her sister out of their room not after shutting it close.

Amaryliss Callieth is the first born of Lilly Callieth and Laster Callieth. She's the heir of the Callieth Company and Stella Company as the first born. She can take the company as soon as she turned 16-18. She is born with natural beauty, her black soft wavy hair, porcelain skin, caramel eyes, plump lips and perfect body. She is the Gem of Callieth Family.

"My lily, there you are. Where did you find her Aster?" Lilly Callieth's sweet and soft voice was heard and instantly, Amaryliss and Aster's face lit up.

"In her room." Aster replied and hugged Lilly.

"I'm sorry I took long, Mom." Amaryliss apologized and hugged her mother.

"Happy Birthday." She whispers to her ear and smiled at her.

"Aww, Thank you My Precious Flower." Lilly coo and kissed Amaryliss and Aster on their forehead.

As soon as the clock striked seven, their mother has to leave them and go talk to their guests. Amaryliss and Aster went to separate ways as they go to their own group of peers and enjoy the night.

When the clock strikes ten, only the members of Callieth Family are the only one's left at the living room enjoying their time.

"It's getting late. Time for you to sleep kiddos." Laster said and the two obeyed. They bid their 'Good Nights'' and left for their room. Amaryliss stopped on the bottom of the staircase and looked behind her shoulder.

"You can't lie to us."

This brought a reaction from them, especially both of her parents and continue to go to her room.

"Since when....?" Lilly whispered and closed her eyes as a tear slipped.

Amaryliss was born to be calm and sharp. She may be an airhead sometimes but it brings an opportunity to act. She noticed how every member of her family is tense and their smiles to be forced. That's how she knew something is wrong. She excused herself and went over to her brother, Aster, who seems to be noticing it as well. They exchanged smiles and went to the desserts section.

"Just be yourself, something's not right." Amaryliss whispered with a smile to hide what she's feeling. Aster grinned and nodded before taking a bite from Amaryliss' cake.

"Hey!" She whined making Aster laugh.

"Thanks." He said and ran away to avoid Amaryliss' punch in the head.

"That idiot." Amaryliss mumbled and shook her head with a fond smile.

When the clock strikes ten, Amaryliss knew the guards surrounded the mansion and were on high security alert. She only smiled and act something was not wrong. When they were told to go to their rooms, she knew an intruder entered. She heave a sigh and changed to her pajamas, while looking on her phone. She was watching the CCTV Cameras turned off one by one while she took out a gun under her pillow.

' Now, where is he? ' She thought and went outside of her room. She heard a noise near her brother's room making her run silently there.

"The boy is not here."

She narrowed her eyes and took out the two of them in a single shot and quickly went inside the room to saw his brother hiding under the bed holding a gun and a knife.

"Aster, we have to leave. Come quick." Amaryliss said and dragged her brother to his attic.

"How about the rest?" Aster asked with no worry in his voice.

"They can take care of themselves. We need to leave. Remember the first rule Mom told us if this happens?" She asked and Aster nodded her head.

"To leave the mansion and evacuate away from the enemy." Aster stated and Amaryliss nodded her head and jumped down. She looked around and called Aster who followed her sister.

They had to live and survive. She knew this would happen, yet she's not that ready. She only has one job, it's to protect her brother at all cost.

"Let's go." She whispered and held her brother's arm and quickly went out of the mansion. Not noticing someone was following right behind them.

Lilly and Laster just finished everyone in the room. However, Lilly knew something wrong is going to happen . And she was proven right, when they heard a gunshot outside followed by a horrified shout.

"SIS!!!" Everyone ran outside and saw Amaryliss holding a gun in front of a man, and the man with his knife on her stomach. They quickly went to her as soon as the man laid dead beside her.

"My flower, don't wither." Lilly cried and caressed her cheeks.

"Don't leave us, Amaryliss. Please stay awake." Laster said as he dialed an ambulance.

"Mom, Dad, I'll always love you. Don't be consumed by hatred nor anger. Go on without me, please take care of each other, for my sake... for Aster. Don't linger in the past, it will ruin your future." Amaryliss coughed and smiled at them before shifting her eyes at Aster with blood trickling down her mouth. Hoping they would follow her wishes.

"A-aster.....make me proud." She said and smiled at them as she took her last breath with a soft smile on her face.

"AMARYLISSS!!!"
