First person's POV

I slowly opened my eyes and saw a beautiful blue sky. I stood up and my eyes widen at the sight. Green grass and different kinds of flowers in full bloom, different types of animals in peace. I looked down and noticed my new attire. A white sun dress with a shade of red that reaches above my knee and a flower crown made from white lilies. I looked down and raised my eyebrow.

'Why am I in barefoot?' I thought and looked around. I started to follow the path that guided me to an open greenhouse. I smiled and entered as I smelled the sweet aroma of coffee.

I saw an Albino man, wearing a grey kimono and his long hair tied on a low ponytail. To say, he's handsome. Why does he look familiar?

When the man turned around, my eyes widen when I saw his face. No way.... is he Kawahira?? But no... he's different. He smiled at me so I grinned and went to him.

"Hello Amaryliss, I hope you find this place comfortable." He said and I smiled at him.

"Yes. This place is fantastically beautiful!" I told him honestly and he seemed surprised but smiled full of satisfaction.

"I am glad." He only said and drank his coffee. I blinked when the coffee in front of me changed into milk and cookies were placed beside it.

"Thank you." I said and took a bite.

I hummed in delight and my eyes shined when a book appeared in thin air. I took it and started reading it while eating. A comfortable silence engulfed us as we listen to the birds' chirping enjoying our own book and little snack.

"Excuse me, mister. Can I know why I am here?" I asked and he closed his book and looked at me with a soft smile.

"Ah, straight to the point, I see. You are here for a reason." He said and snapped his finger making the book disappear.

"What reason?" I asked and took a sip. He looked at me in indifferent way.

"What do you know about Reincarnation?" He answered me with a question. A question I've veen asking my whole life.

"Well.... you got reborn to another body with the same soul?" I answered unsure but when his eyes glinted, I knew I got something right.

"You are correct. However, In reincarnation you have two choices. Retain your memories of your past life or forget and make new memories with your new one." He said and I nodded my head in understanding.

"If you were to choose, what will you choose?" He asked me.

I was lost in my own thoughts that I didn't noticed we're not in the greenhouse anymore. But instead, under a shade of a huge tree surrounded by green grass and different kinds of flowers in full bloom.

If I were to choose between those two... Retaining my memories means I can remember everything, the pain, the joy, everything. If I forget my old memories, I am sure it will come back eventually.

I started playing with his hair as I thought about my answer. Hmmm, maybe it's useful.

"Did you think of an answer?" He asked as I finish tying his hair. I jumped in front of him and placed my hands on my back and smiled.

"I would retain my memories." I answered with a smile. And he seems to know the reason, the way his eyes shine and smile, I know he knew. And it just proves where I am going after this.

"Very well." He stood up and walked towards me, with his hand opened and palm facing upward. Something appeared in his palm as he walk towards me.

"If that is your wish, I shall grant it. However, in your new life,  you'll be suffering a consequence by being reborn. Are you still up for it?" He asks and me stopped a two meters away from me.

I thought about it for a moment as he stands in front of me waiting patiently. I smiled and nodded my head. He walked towards me and placed a necklace on my neck. A chained one with a ring as a pendant. I stared at it and noticed the carvings that are written in symbols.

"Are you sure it's okay for me to have this?" I asked and looked at him straight in the eyes.

"It's a gift. It will help you in many ways." He stated and walked back, 2 meters away from me.

I saw his eyes, those emerald eyes filled with loneliness and sadness. He lifted his arm but before that, I ran to him and engulf him in a hug. I buried my face on his stomach as I can feel his emotions. He hugged back and ruffled my hair making me look up.

"You have to go, Amaryliss." He said with a soft smile. I nodded my head with a smile and took 5 steps backward.

"Will you be okay? I can stay here with you." I asked making him chuckle.

"You can't stay here. You'll be turned to nothing but a memory if you do." He explained.

My fingertips started fading and the wind picked up letting my dress and hair fly backwards. I smiled at him and it widened when he told me his name. And his reaction when I replied back.

"Don't worry Asteith. I'll always remember you."

I know it's an impossible feat. Knowing the people who comes here all forgets him. There's no doubt that I will too. But it's worth a try, as long as I saw his genuine smile.

At that was my last memory as Amaryliss Callieth.
