Once upon a time,
There was a beautiful kingdom hidden by mountains.
It was a pleasant place, an exciting journey
And people flocked by thousands.
The landscape was breathtaking, forests and meadows
Dotted with great cities and villages alike.
Plenty of food and fellowship,
Who could honestly dislike?
The people were a merry folk,
At night they danced and sang.
Always had a peaceful sleep
Till morning bells all rang.
Everything seemed perfect
In that realm so wonderful.
So you'd probably never think
This tale could be so terrible.
Another king, far away,
His heart held wickedness and spite.
His kingdom wasn't beautiful
It was a sore to the sight.
A dark realm of monsters
And foul people at his call.
He deemed the gorgeous kingdom bad,
At his hand it would fall.
He gathered up his soldiers
And marched forth to start a war.
It would not be enough to win,
Oh no, he wanted more.
The people never saw it coming,
How surprising it would be.
He was better, he was stronger,
One day they would see.
He slaughtered those who denied him
Passage in the land.
So many innocent lives
Were taken by his hand.
The warriors marched to meet the king
And stop him in his tracks.
He would not waver in his stead
There was no holding back.
