Chapter 4: Let's Hang Out at My Place

I didn't really talk to Liam for the next day, mostly because we never talked about... what happened yesterday...

But, as I was watching a season Pretty Little Liars on Netflix, my phone buzzed. I got a text... from Liam...

Liam: Heyy what's up?

That's all he's gonna say? I thought to myself.

Me: Heyy

Liam: Umm... remember when we kind of... kissed yesterday?

Me: Mhmm, I remember

Liam: I'm sorry for the big surprise and everything... I mean life would be so much easier if we only fell in love with people that would love us back, right? haha...

Me: Haha, are you saying that you love me?

Liam: Isn't it obvious? ;) I love you.

Me: Haha, I don't know what to say...

Liam: Emma, I fell in love with you. I want to do everything with you, and go everywhere with you. It's like the whole world is so much better with you by my side. You're so amazing. You're always on my mind. I love your smile, your eyes, your lips, your hair, your voice, your laugh, your hands, your smirk, your teasing, your humour, the way you walk, the way you say my name, the way you look, the way you talk, your dancing; everything about you. Emma, I love you.

I felt my cheeks starting to turn red. No one has ever made me feel so... i cant even decribe what im feeling. My fingers made a little dance across the phone's keyboard. I was completely speechless. I don't know what to text back. I thought about Ethan, of course I thought he was so hot, but I knew he would never like me because he's in love with Carrie. I've always thought about Liam as a really, really close friend; someone I could trust with anything... But damn, he had a way with words, and it made me fall in love slowly, then all at once...

Liam: I know you too well. You're not sure of what to text back. ;)

Me: Haha, that's true.
Liam: I already told all of us: Carrie, Scarlet, Ethan, and me, that we're coming over to your house in about ten minutes ;) I think Scarlet might be inviting Andrew.

Me: Omg! Liam! I'm not even dressed yet!

I looked down to the comfortable pajamas I was wearing.

Liam: You don't have to worry. You look perfect in anything. I'll see you in a few. <3

Ugh... I quickly changed clothes, brushed my teeth, and fixed my hair. By the time I was done, I heard the doorbell ring.

I saw Carrie and Scarlet waiting outside.

"Omg guys come in, I need to show you something!" I grabbed them by their wrists.

"Well hey to you too, Emma." Scarlet slightly smiled.

I grabbed my phone and showed them the texts from Liam and I this morning.

"Yass Emma!" Carrie and Scarlet cheered. "Ooh Liam loves you."

"Haha, oh shut up." I laughed.

"And he's coming right now too! We need to give you guys some alone time." Scarlet teased.

"I agree!" Carrie laughed.

"Oh stop guys." I felt myself blushing, but quickly turned away.

The doorbell rang again, I thought to myself that it must be the guys. And my thoughts exactly, it was Ethan, Andrew, and Liam. I invited them in.

Ethan was mostly happy to see Carrie, Andrew just walked in my house like he owned the place, and Liam was completely focused on me. Ugh, I dont want Andrew in my house!

Well, for most of the day, we watched scary movies in the living room. It was pretty cool actually! We placed pillows and blankets all over the floor, and made it like a mini hangout.

There was one point during the movie when Ethan placed his arms around Carrie and she smiled.

Then Andrew did the same thing to Scarlet. I could tell that Scarlet really didn't like Andrew in that way, because she fake smiled at him, rolled her eyes, and pushed herself away. Andrew did it again, but she lifted up her hand and slapped him across the face, with a slight "Ow" being released from Andrew's mouth. I was laughing so hard, haha.

And I sat next to Liam, who was being a little shy for some reason. I seemed as though he wanted to say something, but couldn't. But, he softly touched his hand against mine, and i let him. My heart was beating so fast, and I hope he didnt notice.

They stayed at my house for about 5 hours. It was so fun hanging out together.

"Ugh, my parents can't come pick me up." Carrie groaned. "That means I have to walk..."

"What? You're not gonna walk home! It's raining, you're gonna get sick." I told her.

"I'll take you home." Andrew looked at Carrie.

"You?" Carrie looked confused.

"Yeah sure, why not? I drove here in my car anyways." Andrew shrugged.

"Uhh, okay thanks." Carrie reluctantly answered.

"Alright, well, let's go." Andrew motioned as he mentioned good bye to everyone.

As he and Carrie left, it was still the four of us: me, Ethan, Liam, and Scarlet. Liam and Scarlet shortly left. And then, Ethan decided to leave, since his car was parked outside, I walked him outside.

"Well, it was fun today." Liam smiled.

"Yeah, it really was." I answered.

"Emma, I just really want to kiss you right now." Liam gently grabbed my face.

"Then you should, because I won't stop you." I smiled.

He pressed his soft lips against mine so passionately. He wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled me closer. I felt my knees go weak. The sweet smell of his cologne caught my nose, and I lost myself in his scent.
Reluctantly, I pulled away from him to take a deep breath in. My lips felt hot and I felt those butterflies in my stomach.

I loved him.

I wanted him.

Then, my phone started buzzing. Another text message... from Ethan.

Ethan: Come to the hospital now, something happened, please, get here as fast as you can. please.
