Outside The Walls

Waking up the next day, you were too tired to go outside the walls.

Sure, it was fun and people died. But you were just so tired. You didn't think you'd be able to even ride your horse.

Eating breakfast woke you up a bit, but when you seemed to see everyone staring at you, you were wide awake.

Jean sat next to you awkwardly, but you knew he wouldn't act like Levi, Eren, or Armin. He was just an old friend.

Besides, after Marco's death, he didn't have room in his heart for more hurt.
He and Marco were practically family.
Though most thought they were a couple.

Eh, part of you even liked the thought of them together.

You heard Eren talking about Titans across the table. He sure has convinced himself that he will slaughter all the Titans.

"Hey, Heichou?" Eren stopped the conversation and looked at Levi.

"What is it, brat?" Was Levi's response.

"When are we going to get to my basement? Isn't that our whole goal here?"

"Eren, clean the stables. They need to be spotless before we leave."

Eren pouted and left the table to go clean the stables.

You couldn't help but giggle at Eren's attitude. He should have known it was coming.

Leaving the walls was amazing. But you always wanted to go further. The excitement of killing Titans energized you. Outside the walls you could forget you had a king.

Jean was next to you in the formation, so you felt relaxed, knowing that Levi wouldn't be breathing down your neck.

You giggled, reminding yourself of Hanji as a group of Titans approached your section.

Your 3Dmg shot into a Titan's shoulder and you dashed past the nape of his neck, cutting into the flesh with your swords.

Steam spilled from the wound and you used your gear to get on another Titan's shoulder. But this Titan was different.

It looked like a female and charged toward the front section. Gasping, you realized it was about to grab the cord that was part of your gear.

She moved faster than any Titan you've ever seen. Her hand wrapped around the cord and sent you flying.

Part of it was enjoyable, but seeing you'll probably die when you fall, you focused and used your gear to fly to a nearby tree.

You sighed and pulled out your flare gun, sending a flare into the sky.

You rested a moment by the tree, then seeing Jean passing by with his and your horse. You jumped down and ran up to your horse, whistling loudly.

Your horse slowed and you jumped onto it, catching up to Jean.

"She's headed for the front section!" You yelled to Jean.

His face was pale and then you realized.

He's the only other one.

You looked into the sky and could see a (black or red I can't remember -^-) flare that must have been sent about two minutes ago.

Looking behind you, there was the female titan, charging forward.

"(Y/n)!" Jean shouted as you used your gear to maneuver to the Titan's neck.

She covered the nape of her neck and flicked you away, sending you through the air once again.

You landed in a tree, then seeing Levi's squad and Eren nearing.

You hopped down and made yourself noticeable.

The group stopped just inside the forest.

"(Y/n)? How'd you get here? Weren't you in the--" Eren paused.

Levi's face showed so much emotion, it confused you.

"Jean and I were the only ones who made it," you panted. "She's smart. She knows we can kill her by cutting the nape of the neck."

Sighing, you walked to breakfast.

But you were stopped by Levi half (MARCO) way there.

His cold, gray eyes met your (e/c) ones and you suddenly forgot everything.

"Follow me," Levi said with a small smirk as he grabbed your wrist and led you outside.

He led you by the stables and pinned you against the wall.

Breathing heavily, your eyes locked with Levi's again.

"H-Heicho-" your words were cut off with Levi's lips against yours.

You couldn't remember anything as your lips moved in perfect sync with Levi's.

You forgot Titans.

You forgot that your stomach has been begging for food all morning.

You forgot Armin.

You forgot Eren.

All you knew was that you were falling in love with your Captain.

You were falling in love . . . With Lance Corporal Levi. Levi Ackerman.
