Love Wars (An Attack On Titan Fanfiction)

Dream

That night, you reflected on the things that happened.

That embarrassment with Levi...

That kiss in the library with Armin...

You sighed and turned in your covers, eventually falling asleep.

When you awoke, you could feel the memory of a terrible dream. But as you thought about it more, it seemed to cause pain to surge through your veins.

Shaking away the thoughts, you went to the stable to check on your horse.

You let her out of her stall and saddled her up. A small grunt escaped your lips as you mounted, then yanking the reins.

She ran around, and you enjoyed riding her, and if you closed your eyes, it felt as if you were outside the walls... With no threat of Titans. It felt as if the curse on the world had been lifted, and you forgot all about that terrible dream.

Then a whistle rang out and your eyes sprang open. The shrill noise was definitely from Levi. Who else would interrupt you so rudely?

Your horse galloped over to the short man, and when you reached him, you dismounted her.

"Levi?" You said, hiding the anger that was starting to burn behind your heart.

He caressed your cheek, his cold hands making you shiver. Your eyes closed, and soon a breath was steadily beating against your neck. It went up your jaw line to your lips, but no contact was made.

You opened your eyes and there was Levi, his stone cold eyes burning with sadness. He looked down and removed his hand from your face.

"L-Levi I-" you started.

"I cannot be with you, if you do not love me back." His eyes met yours, "(y/n)... Do you love me?"

You brought your hands up to your chest to keep your heart from bursting out of your body. Pondering, you looked away sadly.

The short man's eyes showed so much feeling, you didn't know what to say. Levi never showed feeling, how could you possibly say "no"?

You smiled a sorrowful smile, now suddenly remembering the dream.

A tear may have slipped from your shiny (e/c) eyes, but you didn't notice. You kissed Levi's cheek gingerly, then running off to Eren's room.

Hesitantly, you knocked on the door softly.

Eren answered the door, his brown hair messy and eyes drowsy. "(Y/n)!"

You smiled and gave him a quick kiss on the forehead.

You repeated this process with Armin, but he grabbed your arm before you walked off.

You looked back, your tear-stained face knowing the future.

"(y/n).... What is wrong? I-if it's about yesterday I know I shouldn't have-"

"No. I'm sorry, Armin." And with that, you were off.

The dream flashed through your head again, and you sat under a tree just in bloom.

Your eyes filled with tears and then you were thrown off the ground, a loud "boom" following.

The whole legion, it seemed, was right there, watching as a titan strolled into the walls.

You pulled out your gear and zoomed toward the threat. The rest was blurry as the dream went through your head once again.

Then, you heard three men screaming your name, and you felt wetness all around you. A tear dramatically slipped from your eye and you reached your arm out of the mouth of a titan.

"I-I love you.... I love you-"

Your sentence was cut off with your shrill scream, as pain surged through your body. Then, you were swallowed by the titan, body in half, quickly dying of blood loss.

You were in the Titan's stomach when you saw a bright light, and a body's outline in that light. Then your vision darkened from the corners, and you were gone.
