I always start anything I write by recognizing those who have brought me where I am, even if it's here on Wattpad. So y'all will have to deal with my sappiness, sorry!
To the friend who first created these characters with me what feels like ages ago: Thank you for jump-starting my imagination and giving me the shove I needed to develop this even further than I think either of us ever believed it'd go.
To the friends off whom I've jumped random musings: Thank you for listening to my ramblings and asking the probing questions I never knew I needed to ask.
To the people who helped me develop my antagonist: I'm so grateful for you. You helped me dig into this individual and make them more believable than I would've ever been able to think up myself.
To my awesome Army veteran of a coworker who willingly stepped in front of my one-person firing squad, except with me asking questions rather than shooting bullets: Thank you for your service, first off. And secondly, thank you for sharing your personal knowledge and experiences with me and trusting me with some of your own story. I'll take care of it, I promise.
Now, to the context of Nightswan: While the prologue of this story occurs about a year prior to the actual plot, the main body occurs four years after Learning How to Bend's epilogue. So Vasilisa is 21 years old, a young woman with a bright future ahead of her. And yes, some of your favorite characters will be returning--Thaddeus, Liliana, and even Joe and Kat with little Betha.
Let NaNoWriMo 2019...commence!
