Tyler's eyes scan over the paper he held in his hands. Tyler's fallen in love with a special person. That special person happens to be his best friend Josh Dun.

He loves absolutely everything about him, the way he smiles, the way he talks, Tyler loves everything about him. Josh has been there for Tyler throughout his life and Tyler would give up anything to have Josh.

The brunette doesn't know how to tell Josh about his feelings, he's never been good at talking about his feelings. Josh already knows Tyler's gay which is amazing for Tyler so he doesn't have to come out to Josh.

Tyler sighs and crumbles up the paper, he pulls out a notebook full of songs and flips to an empty page. Tyler grabs his ukulele as well as a pencil and begins strumming some random notes until he comes up with a good sound, he figures out a nice little strumming pattern and starts to write out ukulele chords.

Next is the hard part. Lyrics.

Lyrics are extremely difficult for Tyler sometimes, he doesn't know how to write his feelings towards Josh in lyrics. It'd be way easier to write a note.

A note. Maybe Tyler should just write a note. Notes are easy. You can pour your heart out on a piece of paper. Hell maybe Tyler could write,

Do you like me?
Yes or no?
(Circle your answer)

But no, Tyler wants to show Josh how much he means to him with lyrics. With a ukulele tune. Josh knows how much music means to Tyler so a song is way deeper than a note.

Tyler opens the drawer in his nightstand and pulls out a piece of paper, it has list of reasons he likes Josh. Sometimes looking at things he likes about Josh helps him write a song.

Slowly minutes pass which turn into hours of trying to figure out the right words. Still it doesn't seem right...

~Next Day~
Tyler's phone buzzes, he looks down at it to see that Josh has texted him.

Josh: Hey wanna hangout today?

Tyler: I would love to but I can't today

Josh: awh np I'll ttyl?

Tyler: yeah! Sorry josh

Josh: don't stress bout it

Tyler blushes, Josh is so kind to him, he always is. Tyler loves how calm his crush is, Josh never questions Tyler, he's patient with him as well, he's not to touchy on certain subjects, he knows how to keep his space and that's something Tyler loves.

Nowadays it ain't easy to find someone as understanding as Josh. That's what makes him so special to Tyler.

Tyler decides to work on the song some more, he pulls out his notebook and looks down at what he's come up with so far.

We don't believe what's on tv, because it's what we want to see and what we want we know we can't believe, we have all learned to kill our dreams. I need to know that when I fail you'll still be here, oooh, cause if you stick around I'll sing you pretty sounds and we'll make money selling your hair. But I don't care what's in your hair, I just wanna know what's on your mind. I use to say I wanna die before I'm old but because of you I might think twice.

It's quite a bit, Tyler's surprisingly satisfied with it. It took forever to write those words but he thinks it works pretty well.

Tyler grins, he writes more words, he sings them out loud trying to see if it sounds nice. He does this until he has a whole song.
