Sqaishey's POV
I slept for hours, hours I couldn't count. When I finally woke, I found we had reached our destination.
The house, my new home, was two storeys high. The exterior was brick and had small windows on the front. "Welcome home." my father said, smiling, but not a nice, genuine smile.
I ignore him and walk inside. The house was nice enough, but without Stampy, nothing was home. I walk into what is supposed to be my bedroom, but is actually just a bed and small dresser.
I catch sight of a small box under my bed. It has pillows, sheets, but under the bedding things, I find one last bit of hope.
A phone. It is a bit old-fashioned, but new enough to call mobile phones.
I pause. What would my parents do if I contacted Stampy? Would they lock me up in my room with no food or water? Or handcuff me? I gulp as I think of another option.
Would they kill me?
I amj their own daughter! Surely they wouldn't resort to that? I sigh and pick up the phone.
I call Stampy's number hoping he'll pick up. "Please pick up." I murmur."Hello?" I hear Stampy's friendly voice say.
"Stampy!" I freeze.
"Stampy... My parents! They smashed my Xbox! I can't talk to you! I shouldn't be talking to you!" I say, hearing footsteps coming up the stairs. I hide under the bed. But that won't hold my dad up.
"Sqaishey! Where are you? I... What?..."
"I don't know! I don't know!" I say, starting to cry. I try to stay calm, but it's not working.
"Sqaishey, listen to me. I-". I scream as a strong hand pulls me out from under the bed.
Then he starts to hit me. All I know is pain is searing all over my body. It feels familiar, but I can't seem to remember how. I scream again.
"I'm going to die." I think. I close my eyes and hear my dad screaming and yelling at me. I couldn't hear what he was saying, his words drowned out by another scream.
As the pain lessens, I start to calm down. Now I can hear what he is saying.
"This man is dangerous! He ruined our family!" I hear him scream. "Beth, stay away from him!" Don't talk to him!" he yells.
"What do you mean? It's all your fault! You took me away from my best friend! I can't remember having any friends!"
I see him stare at me, but instead of retaliating, tears form in his eyes and he starts to cry. I then hear him walk sobbing out of the room, then a click. The door is locked. I look over to the phone to see he has crushed it, just like my Xbox and mobile.
I curl up on my bed, and start to cry. What does my father mean by Stampy is dangerous? How did he ruin our family? Why did he look at me and start to cry when I mentioned never having any friends?
Stampy is one of the kindest, sweetest person I know. He would never hurt anyone, unless he was being threatened. My father was wrong. He had to be wrong. He didn't even know me a year ago, and he's never met my family personally.
Then a thought comes to my mind.
He might not have known them, but what if they knew him?
