Sqaishey's POV

I lie still in bed, slowly sipping the boiling hot tea out of a mug. Setting it down on my bedside table, I ponder on my confusion. Both my mother and father are being nice to me now... And I have a feeling it's not just because I'm 'fragile'. This accident has triggered something... Something from either their or my past. I thought if my father was finally nice... or at least not angry towards me, I would be less confused about what's going on.

But now I'm more confused than ever. My mother was meant to be angry that I ran away from her in the cinema... But she's treating me like that never happened. My parents are acting like I just came back from the dead, and whenever we have eye contact, they stare at me for 10 minutes before leaving the room quickly.

Actually, the more I think about it, the crazier excuses I come up with. Maybe aliens came and took my parents' brains...

My slightly crazy and weird thoughts are interrupted by the sudden loud creak of the door opening. "Are you still awake, Beth?" my father's voice says from the door.

"Yeah." I say absent-mindedly, still stuck in my thoughts.

"You should get some rest." he says, and like I said, he stares at me for a few minutes, then quickly rushes back down the hallway.

What was it about this accident that made them so on edge? It was like they had hit their heads... and they forgot completely what had happened before 'the alleyway.'

Stampy's POV

It can't be Sqaishey.

After all this time searching for 'Beth', it was Sqaishey.

As it begins to sink in, other things Andrew has said come back to me.

"My sister is a big fan. She's... she's dying. I've been searching for you for years so she could have her dream come true... But I'm not even sure if she's alive anymore."

"Sqaishey..." I murmur. "She's Sqaishey."

"What?" Andrew says. "That's Beth."

"No, she's not. I mean she... she is, but she's Sqaishey as well. Beth is Sqaishey." I stare at the picture of her on my computer screen and turn to face Andrew.

"We... we met here. She was a Youtuber, too. I-I fell in l... love with her," I explain softly. "I love her, Andrew."

Andrew just stares at me in shock. "You already met her? What happened to her?"

"She was taken by he-your parents. I don't know where they took her."

"So she's alive," Andrew mutters, more to himself than to me. "After all these years I thought..."

"I was going to go looking for her, before you came. Now we can look together." I look once more at her picture before clicking her YouTube channel. Maybe there was a clue on it. After a quick search, nothing comes up. I sit back in my chair, defeated.

"Our parents... they had another house. Way out of town. They told me about it, once. I don't know where it is exactly, although I remember them going to Blackswell one day. I hadn't thought about it until now." Andrew stares into space, maybe remembering Sqaishey. When they were happy, perhaps. A happy family.

"We should get going," Andrew says. I nod slowly and shut my computer down. I grab the spare money I had been saving for an emergency and, after a few minutes and last minute checks, follow Andrew out of the door to my apartment.

We call a taxi again and sit down for the long ride to Blackswell. There was little to no chance that we'd find Sqaishey, but it worth a shot.

"I think they left because of me," I burst out, surprising myself. I take a breath and continue. "Her father never liked me."

"He... blamed you for the accident, her amnesia. We were watching your videos when she fell off, remember?" Andrew says. I don't remember him telling me that, but maybe he did. So much has happened lately I'm not even sure what is real anymore.
