Stampy's POV

I open the door to my apartment and step inside, flicking on the light as I do so. I can't believe I lost Sqaishey. The one person I love, the one person I'll ever love. There's never going to be anyone like her again. I shake my head. I'm talking like I'll never see her again! In just a few more months, I'll see her again. We'll be together, and we can play video games and talk until the end of the universe. How will she know where I am, though? My apartment lease runs out in about a month, and I was planning to take her to London with me. Now that's never going to happen.

I can't even renew my lease. The people who own this apartment complex want to renovate it, and they can't do that while people are here. I have to move, and I can't do anything else but go to London. I've already booked my ticket for a month from now, and I can't change it. Why couldn't we just stay together? Why do her parents want her to stay away from me? I haven't done anything. We're not even dating. I look out at the dark scenery. I wonder where she is now?

I sit down at my desk and turn on my Xbox. Videos usually take my mind off things, so that's exactly what I'll do. I set up my recording equipment and do my intro.

*~.~*

I wake to sun streaming through my open window next to my desk. I must have fallen asleep halfway through recording a video. Luckily, my recording equipment turns off automatically if I haven't done anything, so I could just make a simple cut in the video and continue from where I left off.

Almost automatically, I pull out my phone to see if there are any messages from Sqaishey, until I remember. They took her away from me!

My finger hovers over the 'call' button. One press, and I could speak to her. One press, and I could find out where she is, what she's doing, anything at all. But what would her parents do? Who knows what they're capable of? They could have killed her, for all I know. No! They couldn't kill their own daughter. Stop thinking like that!

Even so, I have no idea what they'd do to her. It's not worth risking it. I sigh and stand up, stretching as I do so. What am I supposed to do, now that Sqaishey's gone? I can't go out for lunch together like we would have done, we can't record videos together like we would have done, we can't do anything together anymore!

My phone ringing startles me from my thoughts. I pick it up without even checking the caller.

"Hello?"

"Stampy!" I freeze. It's Sqaishey! "Stampy... My parents! They smashed by Xbox! I can't talk to you! I shouldn't be talking to you!" She sounds almost scared on the phone.

"Sqaishey! Where are you? I... What?..."

"I don't know! I don't know!" She's sobbing now. I swear I will kill anyone who's making her this scared.

"Sqaishey, listen to me. I-". I'm cut off by a scream. "Sqaishey? Sqaishey!" I stare in horror as I hear her scream over and over again, the angry voice of a man mingling with them. Then something even more scary. Silence.

"Sqaishey!" I yell, panicking now. Who's doing that to her? I have to find her! I have to!

The phone cuts off, it's beeping being the only noise I can hear. Everything else, my Xbox, the sound of cars driving past, turns to nothing. Even though I know she can't hear me, I whisper into the phone.

"I promise Sqaishey. I promise I will find you."
