'history has once again distorted the truth,
of jealousy, of villainous character, i am implicated,
oh my child, forever worthy and untainted,
to curse you was never this divine's intention,
wicked and vile, i have seen things,
mortal men with lust gleaming in their eyes,
they are as perennial as their sins,
even gods peered behind the clouds,
helpless i am, they are my kin,
your beauty my child screams danger,
and lasting protection i planned to wager,
slithering creatures to crown your head,
cursed emerald eyes replacing those bright stars,
divine blessings, these i consider,
aegis against beings of utter evil,
now child protect thyself,
in this dark oppresive world,
fight and you shall survive.
