Baby Skylar (5 seconds of summer fanfiction)

Chapter 3

This chapter is dedicated to @Breloves5sos because she gave me the idea, so thank you and Ilysm!! Also I might exaggerate how long he actually stays away but don't shoot me.

*Skylar's P.O.V*

"But Daddy, why do you have to leave?" I whimpered as he continued to pack his bag. I really just wanted to go dump all of his clothes out and make him stay.

"I have to go visit Aunt Mali because she is graduating from school, I promise that I will be back as soon as possible though." He zipped up his back and put it over his shoulder. I ran towards his quickly and hugged his legs.

"You promise?" I said, my voice becoming shaky. Daddy knelt down in front of me and pulled me into his arms. I rested my head onto his shoulder and traced his Indian tattoo.

"I promise, I'm going to miss you so much baby girl." He mumbled into my hair and stood up again before we walked out of his room. He would be gone 5 months. 5 months without him reading to me before bed. 5 months before he could play dress up with me. 5 months before he ever hugs me again. A tear slid down my face and I quickly wiped it away.

We stopped just outside of the taxi that was going to take daddy to the airport. Uncle Lulu, Uncle Mikey and Uncle Ash were also standing outside. He quickly picked me up again and we all had a group hug. "I love you daddy." I whispered into his ear and I could feel him smile against my shoulder.

"I love you too, Skylar." He said back. The mean looking guy in the taxi beeped his horn and we all separated, Uncle Ash holding me while I struggled to go with daddy as he got in the taxi.

"Noooo!!!" I shouted as the car drove off and Uncle Ash held me tighter as I cried into his shirt.

* 2 hours later *

"Sky can you please come eat dinner with us?" Uncle Lulu called and I just pushed myself deeper into the couch. I didn't really feel like doing anything, I really missed Daddy.

"Nooo." I said but it really came out as "Mhhh." I heard someone sigh before the squeaking of the kitchen chair against the floor and footsteps. I didn't move until Uncle Mikey picked me up and put me on his knee.

"Listen munchkin, I'll make you a deal, since we both miss Cal, how about after you finish dinner, we can go talk to him on the video chat.?" He bargained and I immediately shook my head yes and ran off to the table, Uncle Mikey laughing behind.

"Well, hello there Princess Skylar, I didn't know you would be joining us this evening." Uncle Ashy spoke in a really bad accent and I giggled before hopping into my chair. Uncle Lulu poured some spaghetti onto my plate and before he could even put the spoon down, I had already slurped up the last noodle. They all starred at me in astonishment and I just blushed and laughed.

"What? Your acting like you have never seen me eat my favorite food before." I said as I hopped back down from the tallest chair in the world and desperately trying to reach the sink, with no luck. Thankfully, Uncle Lulu saw my distress, picked me up, and helped me wash my hands. I thanked him, took hold of Uncle Mikey's hand, and before he could even get out of his chair, I was already dragging him up the stairs.

"Slow down speedy, the WIFI isn't going to be going down any time soon, I hope not." He laughed as we finally got to his room, it was certainly cleaner than the last time that I was in here. Uncle Mikey pulled out his laptop and set it up on the bed. I jumped up into his lap while he pressed some buttons, then it said that it was calling Calum on the screen. I stuck my face right in front of the camera just as Daddy appeared.

"Well, you diffidently don't see this everyday." He chucked and I moved back. " DADDY!!!" I cheered and flailed my arms around, hitting Uncle Mikey in the head. "How is my special little girl doing?" He asked and I shrugged before leaning in closely and putting my hands over my mouth.

"Help me!!" I whispered and he laughed again before leaning back onto the bed he was on and yawning. "Dada, are you tired?" I questioned while playing with Uncle Mikey's fingers. "Just a little bit, wanna go say hi to Grandma and Aunt Mali?" He said, already moving with the camera out of the room.

"Ya!!!" I cheered again. I hadn't seen Grandma and Aunt Mali for, like, FOREVER.

Suddenly, Grandma appeared on the screen. "GWANDMAAA!!" I screamed and she laughed and waved before Aunt Mali came on the screen. "Hi my favorite Niece!" She chirped and I giggled.

"I'm your only niece, Aunt Mali, are you coming for Christmas?" I questioned and she put her finger over her lips before disappearing. Daddy came back onto the screen and smiled.

"Dada, I miss you- and Uncle Mikey misses you too." Uncle Mikey interrupted, hugging me into his chest and making a sad face and I poked his cheek.

"Daddy misses you too darling, and Uncle Mikey, but I have to go to sleep, but I wish I could talk to you all night. I'll be back before you know it." He yawned again and I nodded.

"Okay... love you daddy!" I said and kissed the screen. "Love you too baby doll, goodnight." And he ended the call, making the screen go back to Uncle Mikey's home screen.

"Uncle Mikey? I miss daddy." I said as he rocked me back and forth in his arms. "I know munchkin, we all do." He kissed me forehead before bringing me into my room, tucking me in, and shutting the lights off.

I cant wait until daddy comes home, I miss him.
