The car door slammed close when she got out of it. She took her bag and swung it over her shoulder. Lando refused to take the elevator and look at her with the tension he felt during the minutes they'd be brought to the third floor. Fiorenza followed behind to get up stairs, listening to their footsteps echoing in the staircase. Fiorenza had the key card for the hotel room and she slid it through the holder to get inside. "I don't know it you're just having a shit day, but please don't reflect it on me". Lando started as the door closed and she threw her bag on the table. "Do you think they are prettier than me, Lando?". Fiorenza turned around and her tone had become softer, anger replaced with defeat to emotions that had been bubbling in her heart ever since this morning. "Who?". He replied. "Do you think they look better in their lingerie, bikinis or dresses? Do they talk more nicely to you?". She followed up. "Who? I don't know what you're talking about!". His voice rose.
"All of these girls, Lando!". Fiorenza pushed her phone nearly in his face. "Megan, Charlotte, Nina, Michelle, should I continue?". Lando watched her scroll through the people he followed and his face heated up. "Did you really go through those to see who I follow to make a scene?". He bit back and she scoffed. "Three of these blondes were at the pit walk this morning, talking all about how cute you were and how nice you are for following them on Instagram". Fiorenza snarled. "You know I'm not the jealous type so don't shoot that bullshit at me". Lando was a bit overwhelmed as the sweet girl he knew had stepped back to make place for a woman who was fired up with anger again. "I dare to say if I pick this profile and click on a picture of her ass that you've liked it". Lando wanted her to put her phone down, but he was met with his crimes again as she let out a sarcastic laugh and turned the screen back to him, indicating she was right.
"And you know the funny thing? I don't even care that you're liking all of these girls who buy clothing too small to own money with their ass and their tits on Instagram. The thing that hurts me is that you don't seem to care about how it makes me feel". Fiorenza her finger pointing at him in accusing way and it felt as if her finger was a knife digging straight into his heart. Her eyes started to get watery and he stood there, a bit numb as he has no idea what to do. This was their first argument and one he didn't imagine to have with her at all. "Babe, let's sit down". Lando said with a sigh. "And what?". Fiorenza said and he moved to sit on the edge of the bed, his hands rubbing his tired face. "I don't know. What do you want me to do about it?". Her lower lip trembled and she fought the urge to cry, but she spilled the first sob already. "Unfollow them? Tell them they're ugly?". She shook her head as she angrily wiped her cheeks. "You still don't get it". She took her Paddock Club blouse down her arms and replaced it with a casual shirt.
"Then make me get it! I can't do anything about it you don't tell me what you want from me". Lando stood up and rose his voice. "I need you to fucking think about what you'd feel like if I constantly checked out other guys on instagram and left comments under their posts. What would you think then? What would you feel like?". Lando had never seen her crying before and it broke his heart to see her like this. Lando parted his lips to speak up, but he swallowed the words as he didn't know what to reply. She was right. He'd feel miserable if she spend a lot of attention on others, even if it was online. He'd feel as if he wasn't good enough for her. "I don't want to fight with you, Fiorenza, please, tell me what I can do". He reached out to hold her, but she took a step back. "At the moment I just need you to leave me alone". She sniffled and wished her voice didn't sound so weak. She took her bag from where she left it. "I'm headed over to Alex's".
"Okay, yeah. This sucks". Alex sighed as she comforted her friend who sat next to her on the bed. "Did I overreact?". Fiorenza asked. "He looked so sad". Alex shook her head. "He hurt you, Fio. You're not going back to say sorry because he's sad after you yelled at him. I'd be furious too if Jack was commenting on other girl's posts. It's not just a simple like". Fiorenza stood up with a sigh, moving her hands through her hair before tying it in a loose bun. "It's not like he cheated on me either". She said. "I don't want to make it too big! This is our first argument and we're sitting here like we're looking for evidence for a court trial". She put her hands in her sides. Alex laughed in response. "Let's quit the talks about it then. We can go out and have some dinner and I'm sure he'll be begging you to come back so he can apologize before the end of the evening". Fiorenza nodded in agreement.
"But you know, boys are that dumb that he probably doesn't even realize what is going on". She started again. "He's an F1 driver, I'd say his brain is flexible enough to grasp that". Alex took her bag and her phone. "He can't even pronounce the words "vocabulary" or "statistics"". Fiorenza shot back. "Okay you have a point and now you're going to shut up about it. It'll be fine. I'm sure you two can't stay apart from each other for too long". Alex rolled her eyes. The two girls took off to let Fiorenza's mind move to other spaces instead of the girls on Lando's instagram.
Lando sighed deeply as he turned the random Youtube video he was watching off his phone and he threw it next to himself on the bed. It was late and Fiorenza hadn't come back to his room yet and he had already tried calling her and he had maybe even send a desperate text that included how sorry he was. He hated this feeling. He didn't want to fight with her and he didn't want her to go out feeling miserable. Lando's eyes prickled at the thought and he rolled to his side with a nauseous feeling in his stomach. If she just picked up the phone to answer him or accept his apology. He knew a simple "I'm sorry" wasn't going to change the situation, but he had suffered enough now, hadn't he? Lando rolled to his back when his phone emitted a sound and he checked the screen to see it was something Carlos had send him. Even that couldn't bother him right now, he just wanted to see her name pop up on on his phone.
Even though the argument wasn't that bad at all and he was sure they weren't going to break up, but he just wished she'd let him make it up to her. He wished she didn't go out and avoid the rest of the talk or concretely tell him what she wanted him to do. Lando had been a dick for letting those girls tempt him to reply and he cursed his 19 year old-horny-teenager being. In the end, he knew he had the most beautiful girl with him, yet even she took off at the moment and wasn't in bed with him, tucked into his embrace. Lando buried his head in the pillow and just wished for her to come back.
