I sighed "My bad ma I'mma get ready now, "I said

"Betta be getting them grades up before writing them lyrics Lil girl, "King said

I sucked my teeth "Your like one second older then me relax tough guy" I said to my annoying ass twin brother

He laughed "Hurry up cause ma said if we miss the bus she ain't taking us and it is way too cold to be walking, "He said

I nodded and got up grabbing the clothes I had laid out on my bed and making my way into the bathroom and locking the door

I gently pulled my shirt and pants off and bit my lip at the pain I felt in my ribs I grabbed my phone and blasted Lucas coly before turning on the water making sure it was extra cold...

I was woken up by the car door opening causing me to bang my head on the seat I hissed in pain

King laughed

"You should have gone to sleep early and took the damn bus this would not  have happened now take yo ass in that damn school," My momma said

I grabbed my book bag and got out of the car

"I love y'all, king I betta  not get a call from the school," She said

We both said I love you back and made our way inside the school

"I swear she aggravating sometimes," King said

"Nigga she made me  hit my damn head she loves yo beluga whale head ass more," I said

We both laughed then out of know where I was lifted off the ground the biggest smile came on my face knowing who it was

"Bestfrienddddd," I said without yelling cause I know that shit annoying

I turned my body around so I could jump in his arms

He laughed and placed me down "Hey babygirl"

"Why you ain't been answering my calls can't talk to yo best friend no more," I said looking down

He lifted my chin "You know damn well I don't talk to nobody but yo ugly ass don't start that emotional shit" He said to me

I smiled "Sleepover tonight you know mom misses you," I said

He smiled showing his pearly white teeth "Of course you know I need some real food I been eating cereal ever since moms been in the hospital," He said

My smile turned to a concerned look "How is she"

He sighed "Same since the day she went but I know she strong she will be ok"

I smiled at his high hopes

My  smiled faded seeing Kaleb walk our way and I pretended to not see him

"Well here comes the  iguana"J'von said

I glared at him he just shrugged I turned feeling a rough tugg on my arm

"So you ain't get none of my calls or text last night," Kaleb said

"I didn't have my phone," I said trying my hardest not to studder

He chuckled and turned his attention towards J'von I stayed quiet not wanting to make anything worse on myself
