Chapter 13

Me and kashwan were at the park for almost 2 hours but I didn't mind

I knew mya wasn't able to take him places since she's always working

I groaned when kashawn threw the football hitting me right in the stomach

"Damn Lil nigga you got an arm, "I said dapping him up

He chuckled and licked his lips "Ayyy I gotta get right for my Lil shawty"He said

I laughed "Boy what you know bout having a Lil shawty"

He smiled "Mane everything, this girl my forever no funny shit"

He started flexing

I threw the ball at him while he wasn't paying attention making him fall

"Damn nigga," He said holding his head

"That school better be your everything to, "I said stern

He nodded

"Fosho I need the money to get mom out the hood," He said getting off the floor

Since he was little he has been saying this and I loved him for that

"Ayy don't worry bout that your momma will be out the hood before you graduate I promise"

He nodded before throwing the football back at me

Kashawn grew up without a father so when he needed a father figure I was always there

I know how it feels to not have  a parent, me and my sister mya took care of ourselves

because our mom was always sick

But I would never blame my momma for that because she did everything She could to  make sure we were ok

But now she basically lives in the hospital and her cancer gets worse every day

I just pray I don't lose her cause if I do ion know what I would do

That's why I've been going every day to see her

I never know when I could lose her and every min of the day I get scared that her time will come

"You wanna go see grandma daisy," I said

He smiled widely "Yeah I haven't seen grams in a while since moms always working and when she's not working she's crying in her room, "He said looking down

I sighed and ran my hands down my face "You gon stay with me for the week give yo moms a break"

"Its been like that ever since dad left, "He said

I could tell he wanted to cry but instead, he threw the football on the ground hard asf

He walked over to the car slamming the door

I know how he gets when he mad so I ain't ask him no questions I just drove to the hospital...

I locked the car as me and kashawn made our way into the hospital

We were greeted by a nurse "Hi , welcome to baptist hospital how may I help you"

"Yall got somebody named daisy brown here?"I said

Making sure we were at the right hospital since they moved her

"Yes sir, her room number is 772"

"Ight thanks," I said

"No problem boo," She said in a flirtatious way

"Ayy bitch back yo stick body ass up he got a girl," Kashawn said catching me off, guard
