I squealed as I slapped all of my clothes in one big pile in the middle of my suitcase.

Scrunching up my eyes, I tried to put as much strength as I could in my efforts to close over the other side.

"Maybe this'll help?" I turned to see Mama's kind eyes with a light flicker of sadness. She was holding another suitcase.

I grinned, leaning in and kissing mama's cheek and taking the suitcase, "Thanks mama."

"Now." She took a breath, "Are you sure you want to do this."

I was smiling from ear to ear, "Positive. I've never had an opportunity like this before."

"Now, you know if you miss home too much or you don't like it there, you can always come home okay?" She rested her hand on my shoulder, consoling me as mothers do.

After my appointment with that doctor, he made a deal with my mom. He established that some people need to focus in different environments.

Apparently mine was a dance environment.

At last, someone didn't try to medicate me or tell me to flick a hairband at my wrist if I was getting frustrated.

This doctor had made a deal with my mom. I spend one year at Académie de la Danse, if my grades go up whilst I attend the school and I show good dance performance, I will be offered a scholarship. If I find it doesn't work for me then, I'll go back to regular school.

Which will never happen in a million years.

"Have you got everything you need honey." She tucked a bit of my hair away from my face.

"Everything, I even made a list." I held it out to her, gleaming with a smile.

She reached up to hold my cheeks, given that I was a few inches taller than her, "I'm going to miss you so much, you'll come back for Christmas and all of the other holidays. Okay?"

"I promise." She stroked a tear away from her eye.

I looked around, "Where's Papa?"

"He's downstairs, making the worlds longest lasting lunchbox ever for you."

We both laughed before stuffing the last of my things into my suitcase. I grabbed a few of my bags and my purse whilst Mom insisted on taking all of my heavy luggage.

Didn't want to strain my 'Dancer bones' as she called them.

"Hey Papa!" I waved as he was intently rolling sausage rolls.

"Papa?" I asked again.

Mom just rolled her eyes, taking a deep breath. "If you ignore her it's not going to stop her from going Tom."

He stayed focussed on his work, "If I just keep blocking it out, it will cease to exist." He mumbled.

"Tom!" My Mom yelled, "We have to go in five minutes do you really want to ignore your daughter before she leaves?"

Dad immediately broke into tears, "S-she's too young to leave home." He marched over and swept me up in a bear hug, cutting off all hope of me taking a breath for the next five minutes.

He sobbed, "I was expecting her to leave eventually but she's two years early!" He squeezed me even harder.

Luckily Mom noticed my discomfort, "Tom! You're going to crush her to death. Then you'll definitely never see her again."

He abruptly let go, awkwardly patting me on the shoulder, "Goodbye sweetheart." He wiped his nose before blowing it into his apron.

"Drama drama drama." She sang.
