The next day, all people could talk about was Ladybug.
Marinette clutched her designs in hand from where she'd been designing at the coffee shop again, as she strolled down the corridor.
The voices and opinions flooded her ears, where most of their thoughts were positive toward Ladybug, she would rather not listen anyway."Hey girl!" Alya exclaimed as she emerged from their room, a smile painted on her face. "Everyone is talking about Ladybug." She playfully nudged Marinette.
"Alya!" She hissed, "I don't want people to hear."
She laughed, "Ease up girl, my lips are sealed, now, do you wanna hang out with me, I was gonna meet the guys for lunch."
Marinette presses her lips together, "I don't know..." At this point, she couldn't be near Adrien without turning into a stuttering mess.
"Oh c'mon, I'll pay?"
Marinette smiled, "Be with you in five."
After tossing her folders onto her bed, she grabbed her purse, ready to go.
When her and Alya were walking down the street, Marinette felt a sense of déjà vu as the familiar building passed her.
"Hey Alya?"
"Hm?" She replied.
"When you said we were going for lunch. I thought you meant... you know... in a restaurant?" Marinette gestures to the same coffee shop behind Alya which she had just left.
"Oh come on." She grabbed Marinette's arm, "We all know this is the only good place in the area."
Marinette protested as she was hauled inside, "People are going to think I'm a coffee addict!" She cried.
"Oh please no one's gonna think that." Alya rolled her eyes.
As Marinette was thrashing about, she came face to face with Adrien sat in his seat, staring curiously at her.
"You okay?" He asked.
Marinette went bright red, "Oh yeah! I-I'm f-fine!"
"We just saw you in here a few minutes ago." Nino took a sip of his drink, "You must be a coffee addict or something." He laughed.
Marinette's eyes hardened as she glared at Alya, "I. Am. Not. A. Coffee. Addict."
"You two alright?" Adrien raised his brow.
Marinette's frown turned to a beaming fake smile, "We're fine." She gritted her teeth.
"C'mon." Alya patted Marinette's shoulder, "Let's order, you sit next to Adrien."
As soon as Marinette sat down next to him, she got a wiff of his cologne, making her dizzy.
"You okay?" He asked as she slumped against her chair light a gleeful slug.
"The fragrance." She was practically drooling.
"Do I need to get a doctor Mari?" He laughed nervously.
"Marinette!" Alya clapped her hands, snapping Marinette out of her dazed state.
Alya shook her head, looking at the menu.
When they had ordered and got their food, subject of conversation bled into the events of Friday night.
"That Rena Rouge girl was incredible, I mean, that song and her moves were just killing it the whole time." Nino gushed, making Alya giggle.
"I don't know, that Ladybug was pretty great." Alya added.
Adrien flattened his hands on the table, "Great doesn't even begin to describe what Ladybug was, I don't know about you but that was the best dancing I've ever seen."
