Marinette's POV:
Marinette strolled down the hotel corridor, her eyes scanning over the different room numbers casually until she reached the end of the hall to the elevator.
When it took her down to the lobby she marvelled at the crystallised chandeliers, patterned glass windows and glorious carpeting of the Plaza hotel. She couldn't quite believe she was here.
Adrien had to remind her when they woke up that morning when she'd rolled out of bed and accidentally fallen onto him sleeping down by the side on the floor. She'd flushed rosy pink and Adrien had just laughed.
It's a laugh she thought she might've died just to hear again.
She understood why everyone called him 'Sunshine Boy' not just because of his golden locks but also everything about him was just so light and wonderful.
Yet part of her often wondered how much of it was real. When he was Chat Noir, he seemed so liberated, so free to say exactly what he was thinking. And she found she loved that part of him just as much. Maybe even more.
She'd donned some blue jeans and a white blouse that flowed down to her waist that did many favours for her neck line. Her hair was unbound for the first time ever and for the first time in a while, she felt happy in herself.
She heard the bell of the elevator ding behind her and a hand playfully pinched her side. She whirled to find Adrien behind her, grinning wolfishly at her.
"You were supposed to wait for me Mari." He chuckled, feigning a groan.
"It ain't my fault you take seven years to gel that mane of hair of yours." She said, getting on her tiptoes to ruffle it.
He squeaked and ducked from her grip, spun around behind her and picked her up before planting a gentle kiss to her temple as he set her back down.
"That wasn't very friendly M'lady." He whispered, his hot breath against her ear sent shivers down her spine.
"You don't know just how unfriendly I can be Mon Coeur." She turned around and flicked his nose.
His smiled. Really smiled and she wanted to kiss him again.
He seemed to have the same thought because he leant down and pressed his lips to hers.
He tasted of honey, his lips were so warm she thought she could lose herself in this.
She looped her arms around his neck and he lifted her onto his feet so she could reach him.All she wanted to do was deepen the kiss, she almost leant in for more when he pulled away but then he said, "Bugaboo we might have to take this back to our rooms."
"Why?" She whispered breathless.
"Because we're in the middle of a very posh hotel and we're two french people french kissing and people are staring."
It was as if someone had dropped cold water over her and her eyes widened and she pulled away from him.
It was true. Almost every guest, staff member or visiter had stopped to stare in question at the two of them.
Marinette let Ladybug take over for a moment and with all of the confidence and a touch of Chat's insufferable swagger, she bowed gracefully. She grabbed Adrien's hand and said, "Let's go stuff our faces with croissants."
Not to her surprise. He did not object.
Adrien's POV:
Adrien couldn't stop staring at her as she buttered her croissants and delicately tasted them. That was one thing he loved about Marinette, she savoured everything.
