Draven lowered his glasses.

He had known Sophie for years, before he even started running the business. There was a time when Draven was certain Sophie was the one he would marry and be with for the rest of his life, but although their relationship did not work, both of them still had love for one another. Which was why Draven felt a sting in his heart, as if he had been stabbed directly across his chest.

Sophie faced him, feeling a sudden intensity within the atmosphere, "Excuse-me?"

"For all these years, I trusted you, I even loved you. You're one of the highest paid secretaries in our country. There are some of these editors that aren't making as much as you are, but that's because you meant everything to me. You were here ever since I first started and every editor would walk out of my office without any explanation. I cried in your lap when Eric left, you were there when my grandmother passed away and I stayed at your house for weeks; Sophie, from everyone, just...not you."

Remaining quiet for a few more seconds, Sophie pulled the chair backwards and sat down, "Again, excuse-me?"

The confused gaze in her eyes made Draven slam his fist onto his desk, which startled her. "You were the leak—you gave Kyle my new comic book about Eric—"

Her entire face contorted, spiking red as she gritted her teeth, "Are you kidding me? Who told you it was me?!"

"It doesn't matter!"

"And you believed that?!" Sophie stormed to her feet, "After how many times I had your back, you just believed that without talking to me first?"

"I'm talking to you now, aren't I?"

"Yes, accusatory. I'm shocked that one word of mouth and you disregarded everything I've ever done for you. I was even there for you when Melissa passed away and I didn't even know who she was!"

Draven jumped to his feet as well, "Then why is your name coming out of people's mouths, Sophie!"

"I don't fucking know! But I would be the last person to ever leak any of your information like that. I've been with you for over ten years and you really think that I decided to be not loyal this year only, really?"

"Yes, clearly you did. Anyway, I didn't come to argue with you," he stepped around his desk, and approached Sophie, snatching her name tag from her blouse. "You're fired, don't show your face here anymore."
