"I'll distract them," Eric stormed from the vehicle and sprinted towards the front door. The moment the security guards spotted him, he acted as if he was attempted to enter the building and instantly, both of the guards stepped towards him, gripping onto him. That was the chance for Draven to head inside, and while their attention was elsewhere, he stormed inside and immediately headed for the elevator.

A few heads turned when they realized who it was, everyone having heard that he had been fired, and when the elevator doors slammed shut, Draven finally exhaled in relief. Until he heard, "Draven?" He knew that voice, and shivers ran past his spine. The moment he turned, Hector's eyes widened in pure shock, "It really is you; you changed."

"Hey Hector..."

"What are you doing here? We were specifically told that you were forbidden from coming back—"

"Please don't tell on me," he pleaded. "I'm trying to get my life back together, and I want to show the Chancellor what I've done. I stopped drinking, I've been working out and I finished all my ongoing projects therefore I really want to show him that this matters to me."

Hector bit his bottom lip, "You hurt all of us, bad."

He bit his bottom lip stressfully, "I know but I'm planning on making you all come back; you guys were my family."

There was a short pause, Hector scratching the side of his face, "I don't know Draven—"

"I messed up, I really did and it took me a while to realize I did. But I need you all, you guys made me who I am. This is only the first step, but once I have my spot back, I'm definitely fighting to have you back on my team."

He was surprised to see Hector's eyes beam, as if he was filled with hope. And he rapidly nodded, "I'm counting on you Draven. You need a badge to get to the Chancellor's floor, I'll swipe mine for you."

When they reached the eighth floor, Draven stepped out and immediately received goggling eyes in his direction. Other employees raised eyebrows as he rapidly walked past offices before finally reaching the conference room, where the Chancellor sat with another employee. Draven needed this work, and he had no time to wait since security guards were most likely on their way, hence why he stormed inside.

The moment the Chancellor met his gaze, he inhaled a sharp breath and examined around to see if any security guards were nearby. When there was none, he sent a comforting smile to his client before returning his eyes to Draven, who slammed his briefcase on the table.

The Chancellor cleared his throat and folded his arms, "Draven, you've been fired months ago—"

"All my projects, I finished the entire comic novels in a matter of a month," he opened the briefcase and revealed all the documents he had spent countless of hours every night working on, and the ones Eric had spent the same amount of hours to revise and edit. "It's been revised and edited."

"What am I supposed to do with those, Draven H. Malcom?" Draven furrowed his brows, noticing that the Chancellor's face was not changing. It had no content, pure disappointment and anger. He even scoffed, shaking his head, "Those documents were meant to be here weeks ago."

"I know, and I was going through an ordeal but—"

"Do you know the ordeal you've put me through?" The Chancellor stormed to his feet, slamming his palm against the table. His neck had veins formed from the rage he was experiencing, and Draven was shocked by the flames visible in his eyes. "I waited for a whole month for you to fix yourself, and you didn't. Draven, you were our golden coin; you placed Waterfalls Agency on the map. You've helped us grow immensely ever since you arrived here, and I know you have. I didn't only love you as an author, but you inspired so many, including myself."

Draven was speechless, his tongue running dry and no words escaped his mouth.

The Chancellor began walking towards him, "And I trusted you to be an exemplar for the other authors in this agency. You came to work drunk numerous times, and I turned a blind eye because I have immense respect for you and I trusted you to turn back around. You lost your entire team and I still kept you because this agency is nothing without you. You began sleeping around with a member of a different agency and I allowed it to happen because I personally had so much love for you, not only as an author but as a person."

"You stopped delivering your work and I was getting phone calls from several companies. Marvel Industries, Bratts and Co., Lunito Highlights Magazine, Strangers, Box Fox Industries—all of them cancelled our agency after you stopped doing your work and we lost countless authors since our money count fell dramatically. And I still waited a month until enough was enough. So Draven," he placed a palm on his shoulder and began leading him towards the door, "It's not that I don't want to take you back, because I wish I could. But you broke the trust I had for you, and disrespected everything that I've done for you."

"And you thought it was a good idea to storm inside the conference room while I'm with a client, slam your briefcase on my table and say that you finished all your projects. And I'm supposed to simply take you back? It was never about your projects!"

Draven shook his head, stammering, "N-No, that's not what I—"

"What about a sorry? And the fact that all you could say was that you were going through an ordeal, truly shows me how selfish you are. So no, Draven, I'm not taking you back because you disappointed me and I'm hurt by this. Because I expected this to happen, but not from you. It was nice seeing you."

The door was open, and the Chancellor threw Draven into the arms of two security guards that had been standing there. Then, they dragged a speechless Draven towards the elevator.
