After the battle, Marinette got one of the monks from Master Fu's old temple to come in and heal Emilie and the peacock miraculous. He had been living in Paris secretly and had sneaked into the hospital with the help of the two superheroes. Adrien stayed with his mother the whole day whilst Marinette went home and stayed with her parents.

Marinette and Adrien walked along the rooftops as their alter egos at night.
Humming a song, Marinette says, "I...umm...guess we should talk..."
They look at eachother. The sun sets.
"Umm. So, how are you? How is your mother?"
"Mom is... recovering...me, not so much...I'm just relieved that father and Nathalie kept everything a secret, especially since Lila is out there and oh my god I'm rambling," Adrien chuckles.
"Umm..." Marinette blushes, "it's so different now, isn't it?"
He nods.
"I don't understand why..."
He nods.
Marinette smiles, "race you chaton?"
He beams, "sure!" They jump off the buildings and land onto the top of the tower.
Turning around, Marinette says, "I'm so happy."
"Really?"
"Yes. You see, I was really upset. So much stuff piled on top of me. You liked Kagami, and I liked you and then there was Luka. Then me and Luka fell in love. Then I fell in love with you again. He fell out of love with me. But it wasn't just the love. It was also the battles. They became more and more frequent. More and more harder. More and more draining. More and more late. I couldn't keep up. The one time I really couldn't do anything was...Miracle Queen. My lucky charm, it didn't work...I couldn't help feel like that I had gone back to the start again. I just...didn't feel ok..."
Adrien hugs me and I smile.
"You know... with and without the mask, you are amazing to me. I guess I was just too oblivious to it..."
"I mean...I guess I was a bit harsh on you as well," she looks at him who has a "really?" expression on his face.
"Ok,ok, I was way too harsh on you..." she sadly admits, "I'm sorry..."
He shakes his head, "it's ok... I have you now, so it's fine," he offers a hand. She takes it and they dance to nothing. No music. Just them.
"Hey, kitty?"
"Yeah?"
She blushes as she cups his face. He gulps and both of them blush as she leans up to give him a kiss. Adrien, shocked for a second, wraps his arms around her waist.

Marinette's PoV
I pull away and smile.
"It's about time chaton, huh?"
He smiles, "sure is. Although, I have a feeling we've already done something like this."
I hum, "well, there's the kiss from Dark Cupid and the kiss from Oblivio... by the way, I am SO curious as to what happened that day! I wonder what happened..."
Adrien hums, "well, if we kissed then it's a good chance that we found out about each other's identity. I guess, we had a reveal then?"
I shrug. We enjoy the night watching Paris and talking to each other. We even detransform so that Tikki and Plagg can talk.
"Kitty, I have to go now... mom and dad are wondering where I am..."
"I understand..."
"...where are you going?"
He sadly looks down, "I don't know... mom is in hospital recovering so I could stay with her but I think I'm staying with-"
"Stay with us!" I exclaim.
Adrien shakes his head, "no, no, I couldn't!"
I shake my head, "no! I mean, we'd be happy to! I'll check with my parents and you can check with your mom..."
"...ok!" He beams.
We both check with our parents.
"Darling, we'd love to have him! He's welcome anytime he needs to get away!"
"Thanks mom!"
I turn to see Adrien jump back from the roofs, "she said yes!"
I squeal, "awesome!"
Transforming, I take Adrien to an alleyway near my house and then we walk in through the front of the bakery.
"Darling, dont come in through the front after 8, what did I tell you?"
"Sorry mom, sorry dad! Adrien, you know my parents!"
"Of course, pleasure to see you again Mr and Mrs Dupain-Cheng!"
"No problem son!" Dad booms merrily, "anything for our daughter's boyfriend!"
We blush and I lead him to the spare room.
"You can come and stay here whenever you need to!"
"Thanks purrincess!"
I scoff, "sure thing minou!"
After bursting into laughter, I say, "I've gotta go do stuff...I'll be back."
He laughs, "sure!"
I head to my room and squeal excitedly, "TIKKI! Can you believe it?"
Tikki giggles, "I'm so happy that I can talk to Plagg again!"
We excitedly squeal as I quickly tidy my room and lay out my sketches.
"Right, what should be my next project?"
Tikki hums, "what about a couple jacket for you and Adrien?"
"I could embroider our initials on our jackets!"
"Or a little ladybug and cat design!"
"Wouldn't that be too obvious?"
"Hey, bugaboo, do you have a pen?"
"Yeah, why?"
"I haven't done the essay due tomorrow!"
"Sure, come on up!"
I grab a pen and he walks in with a notebook.
I sketch some designs as he writes the essay.
"Mari, can you help me?"
I smile, "sure, what is it?"
"I don't understand what the point is of adding more calcium carbonate to the dilute hydrochloric acid."
"Well, it is to ensure that all of the acid has reacted."
"Oh, ok! Thanks bugaboo!"
I giggle, "you already knew that didn't you?"
"...Yeah..." he sighs.
"If you wanted to talk, you should have said."
Adrien places the pen down.
"Actually..."
"KIDS! COME ON DOWN TO DINNER!"
Adrien gasps, "le food?!"
I giggle as I follow him down my stairs. Watching tears form, I see Adrien examine the pasta that mom and dad had made.
"Oh... Thank you so much Mr and Mrs Dupain-Cheng!"
"Please, call me Tom!"
"And call me Sabine!"
Adrien beams, "thank you again!"
"No problem!"

After dinner, Adrien and I head back up to my room.
"So...umm...I was going to tell you what was bothering me."
"Oh, of course!" I open my arms out wide to welcome a big hug, "come!"
I giggle as he shyly shuffles into my hug, just like a little cat.
"Well...umm...it's just...my dad has really hurt me. My mom wants to forgive him but...I can't..."
I nod, "I understand Adrien. He has kept you from doing things that normal teenagers do. He is, however, the man that has done this for you...and your mother..." taking his hand, I bring it to my lips, "and if I were you, I would tell him how much he hurt you and that you want to forgive him but you don't know how to. And in that moment, you will know, whether he is sorry or not... in that moment you will know whether you want to forgive him or not..."
Adrien sniffs. I look down.
"OH MY GOD, are you crying?" I ask, worried to my wits.
"N,no...yes! I love you my lady! And if you think I should do that, then I'm sure it's worth the try!"
I giggle as he cuddles me and I pat his head.
"Mon chaton..." I sigh, "you are a mess, huh minou?"
"Only for you buginette!"
I giggle, "what a cute new nickname!"
He smirks, "only for you!"
