Dack: A Declan X Jack story

Prologue

"Hey!" said Jenna, catching up with Declan, Jack and Maribelle. "I thought I told you guys to wait for me," She said as she slowed her pace to match the others'.

"Why were you late?" asked Declan, genuinely curious.

"Math went into recess today, I don't know how Jack got out early," She said.

"Oh, I have my ways," Jack responded.

 Declan was a grade ahead of them in math, so when the classes got stretched out, he wasn't affected.

"Huh," replied Declan. They sat down in their usual spot, the table under the dark blue canopy.

"I was thinking," Jenna started, "That we should go to Disneyland together!" everyone looked at her like she was insane. "When we're older," She added. Everyone nodded.

"That's the only good idea you've had for years," Declan said bluntly.

"As if you've had a good idea in your life," said Jenna, only half joking.

"Guys, can we not fight?" asked Marribelle, as she noticed that the two were about to start doing just that. Ideas were thrown around about the trip.

"We could stay in a hotel!"

"Of course we would."

"Who's gonna pay?"

"We'll pool our money!" They went back and forth like this for a while, until the bell rang and they went into the cafeteria to eat lunch.
