Small Background Info and facts:

Debut album from My Chemical Romance

Gerard was inspired to create this album and to re-start his life after witnessing the falling of the World Trade Center 9/11. This event inspired the first song to be written 'Skylines And Turnstiles'

'Vampires Will Never Hurt You' was the first song to be recorded, right after Gerard had been punched in the mouth by a manager to stop overthinking!!

During half the making of this album, MCR only had one guitarist, Ray. It was only when Frank Iero's previous band 'Pency Prep' started to fall apart, did MCR ask him to join, knowing Frank was a loyal fan. Frank then later described himself as 'I was layed on a couch, too high to move, and jeez, I couldn't say no to being a member in my favourite band!'
