The most horrible day that ended not so horrible. (Il Volo fan fiction)

Chapter 9: The best way this day could end...

Kate and I were able to get our seats back, and were now having a blast watching the concert. They started to sing un amore cosi grande, and me and Kate would sing along. We were having so much fun, some people even congratulated me on my singing and started chatting with us, it was pretty awesome. I was so glad we could see the show finally in the end, from falling into a chocolate fountain, losing our concert tickets, to sneaking into Piero's dressing room and seeing him naked, and then having to sing in front of hundreds of people. But then in the end we managed to survive the day with our heads held high, and Alyssa hating every second of our happiness. We ignored her of course, except for Kate who stuck out her tongue at her to make her feel even worse. I thought it couldn't get any better until Gianluca sung his solo. I lost myself completely in the music and then at the last line of the song our eyes met, and I just felt this connection towards him. I was just so in love with him, I shook it off as my imagination. I didn't want to believe that he could possibly like a girl like me, but it didn't matter because I was happy with the memories I got of him and the concert.

After they announced that the show was over, of course the crowd asked for an encore and they did. They ended it with o'sole mio an absolute Il Volo classic. It was amazaing, and we both had so much fun.

We waited a few minutes to go the front row where all the people going to the meet and greet were waiting. I sat down next to a kind faced old woman, and Kate sat down next to a young girl in a skimpy black dress.

I smiled and said hi to the woman quietly. She turned to me and gave me a warm smile. She reminded me like one of those kind round old ladies they always advertise chocolate with.

"Hello dear... Did you like the show? I liked it a lot, I love it how these wonderful young men sing the songs from when I was young." She said kindly. I smirked at her comment, because that was the main reason I really liked Il Volo.

"Yes. That's also why I like them too. I love the music from the 60's and 70's, so much so I don't listen to pop music at all. I'm weird that way I guess." I said, the woman's eyes then lit up.

"Really?! How great, I wish my grand daughter thought the same way as you did. All she listens to is 1 Direction or Miley Cyrus, I get tired of trying to show her the music I used to listen to when I was growing up, she never listens to me. " the woman said sadly.

I frowned.

"Well that's the exact opposite of me. I hate that kind of music. I love Frank and Nancy Sinatra, Raphael, Gigliola Cinquetti, and Vikki Carr." I said enthusiastic. The woman grinned as we began to exchange different types of music and singers. When Kate noticed and just turned to me and said,

"Are you fan girling with an old lady?" She said confused. I just smirked and said"Yup! She's actually pretty cool too."

Kate just rose an eyebrow and sighed. Then Dan came out, looked at us and walked towards us.

"You two, come with me. You'll see them after, they've asked me to take you somewhere in the mean time to wait for them." He said blankly.

Kate and I both got up and I looked over to the lady.

"Bye Ethel. I wish you luck with the boys." I said waving good bye. She smiled and gave me hug.

"You too, sweetie. It was nice meeting you." She said warmly. I smiled and followed after Dan and Kate. 

He led us into a room with a large sofa, a TV, and a mini bar filled up with sodas and snacks. Kate looked at me and started to grin. I just chuckled at her enthusiasm for the free food, instead of the fact that Il Volo wanted to see us after the meet and greet. I sat down on the couch, then Dan before leaving told us not to make a mess of things and that he would be right back. Kate and I both nodded and then he left without saying another word. Kate then got up and handed me a Pepsi from the mini bar.
