"You might be the biggest idiot I've ever seen." Viala was disappointed.
Alice and I parted ways after our conversation. Since Alice doesn't live in the dorms all she had to do was to take the skylift. An elevator designed to transport hundreds into each layer of the city. After we parted, I returned to the dorms via the common route. Which is following the most populous main road in the city to which will ultimately lead to the academy. It was like the road itself was made people who want to go there in one straight line. The road ends leading on to the main gate which leads to the bridge connecting the academy to Valknyra Island.
Both the bridge itself and the main gate is already a high source of attraction for visitors and tourists. I can see now why most people prefer using alternative routes. It's always crowded here. As I crossed the bridge, the sun had fully vanished from sight. I went to my room and went to write in the compendium. I finally have Kuchi's info to add to. While it's not much, I'm satisfied with my findings. And of course, some of Alice's info as well. But I refrain from writing stuff that seemed private. That is only for me to know and some others whom she might trust. After that, I went to sleep.
Morning came along, and since I still haven't bought the ingredients for cooking, I went to the cafeteria. Many students were eating there as well. It was there that Viala caught me queuing and invited me to sit with her after getting my food. I accepted, and then...
"I can't believe that you're this dense." She opens the conversation by mocking me.
"What's this all the sudden?" I asked.
"You and Alice of course! Alice told me everything." She explained.
"We just talked, That's all." I reached to the lemon tea I bought from the cafeteria. "She did cry, but It's not my fault I swear!"
I was suddenly remembered about the pinky promise I made with Viala. I promised that I would take care of Alice no matter what. So, knowing Alice cried might piss her off today.
"That's NOT what I meant! I said it didn't I? She told me everything!" She looks really pissed now.
I pause for a second trying to figure out what she meant. But I got nothing, "I'm sorry, I really don't know what you mean Viala."
Viala shook her head, "You're really that dense, aren't you?"
"What's your point?"
"Let me give you a hint, she doesn't cry like that in front of anyone. Only to someone she trusts."
"Yeah, I get that so what?"
"Ugh... look, she does not tell her past to anyone! Does THAT help you to get what I mean?"
"It's because we're partners!"
"No!" She scratched her head.
"Alice has never been this happier since forever! Did you get what I mean? Did you get what I was Implying?"
I shook my head. Pissed off, she then slams the table. "SHE told me EVERYTHING!"
People near us we're seeing us in reply to what Viala did and returned to their usual business. Viala sighed, then she looked at me seriously.
"Alice was quite depressed in her days of rehabilitation. Her happiest days were when all the four of us were together, including Kuchi." She explained.
"Is it fine for you to talk about Kuchi?" I asked
"It's fine. Remember what I said, she told me everything. Knowing her, she'd be fine for me to tell you this." She smiled.
